Blocko Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Is anyone else's oil car an absolute pig? Ever time I need to top up or change the oil I have to get tools out of the garage so i can whack it. Completely impossible to undo by hand. No obvious signs of cross threading and it's done it the last several times. Very frustrating. Hoping simply buying a new cap will do the trick Quote
Richf Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Any Nissan one will fit they are pretty standard so some of the Ebay ones branded as hks etc are easier to undo and only cost about £6 for a blingy alloy one Quote

RobPhoboS Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Jeez, careful using a flipping hammer on the poor thing. Just use a pair of mole grip pliers with a bit of rag on the cap so you don't tear it apart. Quote

In the end I just very gently nipped it up and it seemed to be fine from then on every time I went to take it off. Eventually I changed it for an aftermarket one (Buddy Club I think) which was a gift and never had any issues getting that undone. 1 Quote
