Another Zed noob...

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I'm a fairly new Zed owner having had mine all of 2 weeks tomorrow. Shes in for its P3 tomorrow so fingers crossed all is well.

Shes a late 2003 53 plate GM GT with Alazan leather and forged Rays. Not a bad mover but think a new clutch will be needed soon as the pedal is a little high :headhurt:

And here she is (ignore the plate, this pic was stolen from the seller) Its actually got a nice private plate on it ending 3SOZ

Cheers

Mike

Hi - welcome to our fun house

Ill bet you are still grinning from ear to ear :teeth:

You'll catch the modding bug before long you know. It may start with a clutch, but it wont stop there....Get yourself to a meet and you will no doubt come away with a shoping list as long as your arm

Great to see another new owner post up too :D

Cheers for the welcome all!

Post this on another forum thought I'd add it here to. Car was in today for its P3 service

Clutch (Fair enough knew that one was coming as the clutch is very heavy) does £677 sounds reasonable?

Rear Pads 98% worn £275!!!! Hmmm I think I'll be going elsewhere....

Any recommendations on aftermarket pads?

Front pads in 6000 miles See above!!

Aircon service- That can wait

Rear tyres down to 3 mil - Looks like I'll be joining the ranks of Falken 452's!!

Anti roll bar linkages? £52 each fitted?? Anyone know whats thats all about?

Just need to sell my old car or a kidney or something to pay for it all!!

Mike

looks like I'll be going the after market route alot sooner then planned....

Where are you located Mike? If anywhere near the north, Big Phil can sort you out....

Clutch seems reasonable on the face of it to me.

Rear pads can be changed in about 40 minutes on your own, about £100 for a full set for EBC Redstuff from Phil.

Rear tyres I would agree with a change. Falken or Toyos (I have the latter on all my cars).

Not sure about the roll bar linkages, but doesn't seem too steep.

HTH :)
