I who have nothing

Sold XK8 to a dealer - pretty good to deal with - realistic but acceptable price.

Mainly they are an independent Maserati specialists, who sell other sports and "prestige" cars as well..........but for now I am keeping my powder dry.

The XK8 was being underused I didn't quite love it enough to justify keeping it (whilst bearing the cost of making sure it was properly maintained). A highly competent and great looking car but not enough magic there for me.

We will see in a year's time.

I was going to say if it's just for a weekend blast then what about a Caterham but I see you've had a few of those, ...in which case Commander might actually be on the money with the TVR shout. ;)

Plenty of time to ponder your options whilst you save up then. :)

Left knee pretty messed up. Needs to be auto/semi-auto. Always fancied a Maserati but not an option right now.

Arrhh, forget the TVR's then as they will murder you. :byebye: My old man who's had several TVR's had to get rid of his last one as it was just killing his back getting in & out of it.

If it was me I'd make a list of what I really want and try to see what fits into that spec for my budget. Could always post it on here as you know we all love a good "What car should I buy with £xx amount of money?". :D

I was looking at Maseratis before I got the TVR; never test drove any but they get pretty poor reviews on the Gearbox front. Excellent theatre and drama though.

Cayman S / 911 / 911 Turbo with a decent exhaust and aero kit? Still a bit anonymous though.

Motorbike?

V12 Vantage?

Suppose it depends upon budget and what excites you? Raw power, classy refinement, handling, noise, etc?

If you decide you do want a Maserati at any point drop me a pm and I'll sort you out with a proper top notch indie specialist.

Literally every car he sells is well sorted.....if there's a problem it's sorted and pretty much all come with a very comprehensive warranty.

Thanks very much. Will definitely bear that in mind. Sadly, unless there is a miracle, nothing will happen before June 2017.

Scary car.

No shortage of parts though, there's so many write offs on Ebay :D
