Ekona Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Tom Cox's cat books are an essential read. As funny as they are insightful as they are sad. I don't normally do books, but I love this series. 1 Quote

TT350 Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 I'm still working my way through a series of books called The Horus Heresy. 32 books so far at 300 pages or so each. Helps if you know the background fluff about the Astartes and Imperium of man. Based on the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Quote

S7nny Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 The Inheritance Trilogy is a good read for escaping to another world. They based the film 'Eragon' off the first book but the film was disgustingly awful and is in no way a marker for the quality of the written piece. Give it a go! Quote
Lexx Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Jim Butcher - The Dresden Files (16 books so far) Jim Butcher - the Cinder Spires series (steampunk) Ben Aaronovitch - PC Grant series (first is called Rivers Of London Simon Morden - Samuel Petrovitch Trilogy Charles Stross - The Laundry Files Quote
