jimboy2 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 So who else is glad he's back on the radio? The show sounds great so far. Shame we have to listen to adverts. I know he's a bit marmite but I have been a big fan since he was doing the early breakfast on radio 1. 2 Quote
cascade88 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 'Everything, is about to change' has been driving me crazy for the last couple weeks. Quote
Vlad Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I love it and glad he is back. Since he left radio 1 and that grimmy took over - it's been sh*t since...can't stand that bloke (grimmy) Shame I can't tune my crappy work van radio to it, so have to listen to it on my phone via app...but still better than radio 1 breakfast show lol Now my days are complete... Chris Moyles in the morning, Scott Mills and Greg James in the afternoon. Sorted! 1 Quote
Flex Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Is it his own radio station? Sorry no tv, living a sheltered life at the moment and also only listening to Radio 2 and Planet Rock. Quote
Ekona Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Radio X, basically XFM rebranded. Radio 2 FTW. 1 Quote

Paddy78 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Radio 1 lost it's appeal when I reached my late 20's. I was never really into pop / chart music anyway, but Radio 1 really isn't aimed for the over 25's, so has even less appeal nowadays. I think Chris Moyles is a big fat slug who couldn't take the same abuse/jokes he dishes out to other people... just mho, not meaning to rile the CM fan club. I'd still rather listen to him that Sara Cox though... Sadly Radio 2 is where it's at for me... I never thought I'd ever be able to tolerate Chris Evans, but listening to Simon Mayo on the way home reminds me of my yoof! Quote

Jetpilot Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I'd still rather listen to him that Sara Cox though... Her, Fern Cotton, Jo Willey etc, cant listen to any of them, they seem to get a little self obsessed. We met Jo Willey wakeboarding with an instructor we knew once, talk about up herself.... I used to have to turn off Big Breakfast when Sara Cox was on that too, not Kelly Brook though Quote
Ekona Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Sara Cox was pretty good when she stood in for Chris Evans the other week, I thought. Good rapport with the rest of the team, and she seems so much more likeable these days. I'd rather her than Ken Bruce, he bores the pants off me. Steve Wright too, nowhere near as interesting as I'd like. Fern and Jo are irritating as hell though, agreed. Quote
TT350 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Chris Moyles has slimmed right down. I miss Talk Radio when it WAS talk radio and not Talk Sport. Loved the topics and discussions. Hate Nick Grimshaw. His voice, his presenting style and his look. Moyles was decent on R1. Quote
SHEZZA Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I stopped listening to the radio 1 breakfast show when moyles left as others have said I can't stand grimmy. Now it's back to listening to Evens on radio 2. Maybe just cause I'm getting on a bit now. Haha Quote
Ekona Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Grimshaw is an utter bellend. I can't fathom why anyone listens to him. Also, how is Scott Mills still on the air? Quote

Vlad Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Whaaaaatttt? Scott Mills and Chris Stark are brilliant! lol Quote
Ekona Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Scott Mills was funny 10 years ago when he first started. Not any more, not for many years. Never heard of the other guy. Quote
Vlad Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Chris Stark is other guy on his show! They do some funny stuff sometimes 1 Quote
TT350 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 (edited) Grimshaw strikes me as one of those smug camp guys that hung around with just the girls in school and could get away with saying anything to provoke the lads and never got in trouble despite causing chaos. A grinning instigator of conflict. Edited September 22, 2015 by TT350 Quote

Radio DJ's in order of hate/dislike (seeing as others are basically listing them ): Nick Grimshaw Greg James Scott Mills Fern Cotton Sara Cox Jo Whiley Jagger & Woody Chris Evans Tbh for the most part I'd be happier if there where no DJ's and the radio stations just played music in one continuous mix only stopped by an hourly news/weather break. Paddy78 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I'm glad I'm not the only miserable old bastard on here. 2 Quote
TT350 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Apparently Grimshaw has driven listeners down to its lowest point in 12 years. Quote
TT350 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 75% of 15000 people surveyed didn't want him on the x factor either. Quote
