  1. Brilliant! I don't think anyone says 'boobs' as well an Australian Agreed that photographic images would be more useful, I don't understand the diagrams
  2. The Audi FSI carbon build up is a shocker, especially as it affects so many models across their range. Basically you need to allow a grand every 15K miles for a valve clean and check that revised dampers have been fitted to counter possible dynamic ride control issues. No one said nice cars were cheap to run though The 335i is looking like a good option as I can get one for £15K and leave a couple of bags of sand in the bank for emergencies. Last night I watched a vid of VBH driving a 335i Coupe around Anglesey - I think it might tick my boxes
  3. La la la la....I'm not listening.....la la la la......
  4. 12.3! edit; Correction, just got 12.0 Bugger.
  5. Have you been practicing your keyboard mashing on 'Track and field'?
  6. Maybe it'll re-write the rules? It'll have loads of torque. It may handle well. It will be nice inside. It's definitely nice outside. Equipment will be sufficient, maybe. The engine might sound interesting, and you may even judge it to sound good. But then you'll realise that assessment was against previously driven diesels - you'll remind yourself of your favourite petrol engine acoustics and decide it isn't actually good at all
  7. Nice one, 'preciate that
  8. Achingly want.... http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p And just in case anyone's in the market for new bodyparts ; http://www.organsforsale.com/search/buymykidney

    Photoshop Request

Cheers Stew, had a problem with them. I'll put them back up if I get time and the OP wants them.
  10. Such a lot of car for so little cash
  11. my first car was a rover 214, i bought the front and rear bumper and alloys from the tomcat but i didn't badge it such, it still said 214si on the back At least you had the good grace to leave the badge on We've all done it, but most get it out of their system on their first car. A good mate of mine sprayed the rear lenses on his Metro so dark that you couldn't see his brake lights - he ended up scratching the paint off in the middle with a screw driver after the police stopped him
  12. I reckon 7.5K is fair, maybe 8 at a push. You're doing the right thing, a car should never get in the way of a house purchase I'm not sure PCP is a particularly economical way to run a different car though, I'd get a reliable 5 year old car (maybe a DERV?) and run that for a year or three.
  13. Here are two of my pet hates for starters..... 1. Chrome trim around wheel arches, door/boot shuts and lights - as modelled by a particular breed of mong on BM's and Merc's 2. Anything that's intended to make a lesser car look like the model the owner actually wanted but can't afford

I quite like the odd wheel option TBH. Problems with photobucket images, might look into it if I have time.

    BMW M5d!

It's more like putting a nismo kit onto a 350z. Or putting a GTR kit onto a standard skyline. I don't think it's a bad idea putting an m5 kit onto a 5.: There are plenty of nice kits to put on cars without looking like a barry try hard though. Personally I'd be proud to advertise the fact that I'd bought such a capable diesel as this Beemer 5, M-Sport mods are perfectly acceptable but trying to make people think it's an M5 is full of fail Each to their own though
  16. +1 His kit is good he's a good chap - he know's his way around Zeds.
  17. I say go for it mate I went self employed 3 or four years back and it was the best thing I've done. You really feel like you earn your own money because you only have yourself to answer to if you mess up. It sounds like your industry might be different to mine as I haven't come across the 'fecking people over' thing, but you seem like a good chap with the right skills so you'll walk it. In the end I was offered the same cash to go full-time with one of my clients and as I liked the work was saving to pay for our wedding I took it. I'm glad I did but I still hope to go self employed again in the near future. Good luck whatever!!!

    BMW M5d!

Fair one. I didn't look at the 'mods' in detail but I thought it looks barry somehow, maybe the exhaust or wheels or the roof spoiler. Why people try to make a diesel 5 series look like an M5 is beyond me, I just don't get what they're trying to prove. Just like MR2 Ferrari copies and fake Rolex's, it's pure try hard IMO.
  19. That'd be my first thought too, I did my compression arm bushes along with drop links and a couple of suspension bushes and it felt like a new car afterwards. Was it a gradual deteriation in steering feel? If the car has done 60-70K or more it's probably ready for a bush refresh anyway (ooh err missus!).
  20. Are the front and rear Nissan burgers the same? I need a rear - I'll take it if it's still available mate
