  1. Just leave some bits at home, less weight, more ride height. Take out the spare wheel if you have one Seriously, dont know how you adjust K&W, did they give you the special spanner to do it with? If its anything like a bike, you need a big splined spanner, and all you need do is jack up the wheel, turn the but nut thing with it and up she goes, easy. Do the same number of clicks each side and job done I think the weight may be a good idea till I manage to find a special spanner Doubt I have got one as Phil didn't even give me the wheel nut key. (Its my fault - I was too eager to drive it away when I picked it up)
  2. I need my K&W suspension raising 5mm at the back as well so someone please do bring a toolkit! Not sure the blokes will be as willing to help me as nixy though I'll flash some leg if it helps
  3. Adam, I hope I have read your post correctly for fear of making an idot of myself but did you say the K1 is a copy? What is the original k1 style exhaust?
  4. Or bigger muscles
  5. Yeah I'm still up for a convoy, just need nurrish to sort out the route with his swanky satnav
  6. How many Mexicans can you fit into one van?
  7. Take it I'm not needed Saturday then Good look on the fitting and I look forward to hearing it
  8. Good Lad Just need a touch screen and I can put my core 2 duo macbook pro in the Zed as a nice Car PC On Topic: Win 7 does seem pretty good at least - I only tried it at a mates house and it seems to fill in the gaps vista left out.
  9. And mine if the other offers fall through

    Crazy Dials

Try unplugging it, the dash lights and dials don't work. Trust me, I had it out a lot when working on my ICE install.

    Crazy Dials

I think all of the dials are controlled by a white box made by Calsonic. If you remove the gear knob surround by unscrewing the gear knob and lifting the surround from the end furthest the dash you should be able to see the box (under the stereo). Might be worth removing the ribbon cables and plugging them back in?
  12. That's how i'd always imagined you Nurrish! (I'm running....................) You aren't too far off Nixy Nurrish just has some Nike Shock trainers and a burberry cap **EDIT - Damn you beat me to it **
  13. Did anybody notice it was listed as a 300ZX?
  14. Would do me a favour if you could - I either need to win the comp or wait till payday for some more 5zigen ones Problem is - I'm not sure the stock ones will fit inside my Volks Don't worry Stew, I've got an idea
  15. You moved to a Zed from an NSX????? Never driven an NSX but I still love them from the Gran Turismo on the PS1 days!
  16. +1? 99% sure that it is. +2 - I thought that too as soon as I saw it. Some great photos Mark, esp the one in front of the hangar +3 And me. Where is Sarnie??
  17. You done the zed before? How bads the paint? Nope, never clayed before... and only polished once. To be honest the paint is really good - there are no swirl marks at all, although there is a lot of tar. When i rub my fingers over it, the car feels rough. Oh well, plenty lube and a bit of time! I never wear a watch when I'm cleaning or detailing so how idea how long anything takes. I'd say the claybar took less than 2 hours. Its easier than polishing IMO. I'm chuffed with the result but it did show up the stone chips on the front bumper. Will re-do it the day before Wales (as long as its dry) which I'm actually looking forward to I need to join in with that competition though as I've lost a wheel nut on the rear
  18. Awesome mate - we need some vids!!
  19. Cheers for the comments guys, I see the chip you are on about but I think its just a trick of the light or something. I've just had a look and nothing is there Yeah I'll get the tyres dressed, i think the crap is just the grease stuff used to get the tyres on the rims. Anyway, at least my wheels aren't embarrassing any more
  20. Dave, You can borrow my jacks and axle stands. I only bought them to take my wheels off so they aren't used at the min
  21. Well they are pretty good - nice and smooth and the guys have done a better job than I thought with sorting the heavy curbing on the lips. Only thing im a bit worried about is the durability of the powder coat as (see pic for front wheel) one of the wheels has chipped and i know I havent touched a curb (yet ) All in all a great job for £35 a wheel though! The biggest problems I had was hammering off the locking wheel nuts and getting someone to fit tyres that I had purchased from the internet. A rik fit garage tried to charge me £45 a wheel to put them back on but I managed to get it done for £20. I need to find out how to raise my suspension 5mm or so though as the rear tyres scrub the arches on heavy cornering. I think the Falkens are a bit more squared than the Toyos.
  22. Very nice Trev - wish I had an Evo as well as a zed!!
  23. Finally got the alloys refurbed and tidied her up ready for the summer. Quick list of the work done this week: Alloys refurbed (powder coated) New Falken 452s on the rear (camskill - think they were about £140 for 275/35/19 ) Megs Claybar (lube smells of cherry which was a nice surprise) 2x autoglym polishes respray of the sideskirt fronts in the arches where the salt had blasted the paint away cleanup of exhaust with autosol (still cant get it perfect) Repaired the carbon front lip (was all cracked) with some plastic glue and black dye. Engine bay cleaned Copied Tim (lomoto) and sprayed my door vents azure Cleaned the interior Repaired my front grille The alloys took a couple of days to grow on me but I like them now. Makes the car look less chavvy and more functional. Also for some reason they make the whole car look a lot smaller and more sporty Anyway, some pics: Engine bay: Side Profile: Front: Back: Front wheel: Rear Wheel: Stone chips Love the Azure when its clean though
  24. Brilliant! - Even more reason to do the canvas print!
