    Crazy Dials

Try unplugging it, the dash lights and dials don't work. Trust me, I had it out a lot when working on my ICE install.

    Crazy Dials

I think all of the dials are controlled by a white box made by Calsonic. If you remove the gear knob surround by unscrewing the gear knob and lifting the surround from the end furthest the dash you should be able to see the box (under the stereo). Might be worth removing the ribbon cables and plugging them back in?
  3. That's how i'd always imagined you Nurrish! (I'm running....................) You aren't too far off Nixy Nurrish just has some Nike Shock trainers and a burberry cap **EDIT - Damn you beat me to it **
  4. Did anybody notice it was listed as a 300ZX?
  5. Would do me a favour if you could - I either need to win the comp or wait till payday for some more 5zigen ones Problem is - I'm not sure the stock ones will fit inside my Volks Don't worry Stew, I've got an idea
  6. You moved to a Zed from an NSX????? Never driven an NSX but I still love them from the Gran Turismo on the PS1 days!
  7. +1? 99% sure that it is. +2 - I thought that too as soon as I saw it. Some great photos Mark, esp the one in front of the hangar +3 And me. Where is Sarnie??
  8. You done the zed before? How bads the paint? Nope, never clayed before... and only polished once. To be honest the paint is really good - there are no swirl marks at all, although there is a lot of tar. When i rub my fingers over it, the car feels rough. Oh well, plenty lube and a bit of time! I never wear a watch when I'm cleaning or detailing so how idea how long anything takes. I'd say the claybar took less than 2 hours. Its easier than polishing IMO. I'm chuffed with the result but it did show up the stone chips on the front bumper. Will re-do it the day before Wales (as long as its dry) which I'm actually looking forward to I need to join in with that competition though as I've lost a wheel nut on the rear
  9. Awesome mate - we need some vids!!
  10. Cheers for the comments guys, I see the chip you are on about but I think its just a trick of the light or something. I've just had a look and nothing is there Yeah I'll get the tyres dressed, i think the crap is just the grease stuff used to get the tyres on the rims. Anyway, at least my wheels aren't embarrassing any more
  11. Dave, You can borrow my jacks and axle stands. I only bought them to take my wheels off so they aren't used at the min
  12. Well they are pretty good - nice and smooth and the guys have done a better job than I thought with sorting the heavy curbing on the lips. Only thing im a bit worried about is the durability of the powder coat as (see pic for front wheel) one of the wheels has chipped and i know I havent touched a curb (yet ) All in all a great job for £35 a wheel though! The biggest problems I had was hammering off the locking wheel nuts and getting someone to fit tyres that I had purchased from the internet. A rik fit garage tried to charge me £45 a wheel to put them back on but I managed to get it done for £20. I need to find out how to raise my suspension 5mm or so though as the rear tyres scrub the arches on heavy cornering. I think the Falkens are a bit more squared than the Toyos.
  13. Very nice Trev - wish I had an Evo as well as a zed!!
  14. Finally got the alloys refurbed and tidied her up ready for the summer. Quick list of the work done this week: Alloys refurbed (powder coated) New Falken 452s on the rear (camskill - think they were about £140 for 275/35/19 ) Megs Claybar (lube smells of cherry which was a nice surprise) 2x autoglym polishes respray of the sideskirt fronts in the arches where the salt had blasted the paint away cleanup of exhaust with autosol (still cant get it perfect) Repaired the carbon front lip (was all cracked) with some plastic glue and black dye. Engine bay cleaned Copied Tim (lomoto) and sprayed my door vents azure Cleaned the interior Repaired my front grille The alloys took a couple of days to grow on me but I like them now. Makes the car look less chavvy and more functional. Also for some reason they make the whole car look a lot smaller and more sporty Anyway, some pics: Engine bay: Side Profile: Front: Back: Front wheel: Rear Wheel: Stone chips Love the Azure when its clean though
  15. Brilliant! - Even more reason to do the canvas print!
  16. Please do get some pics up as this was next on my to do list but i havent made up my mind on how I want it done yet.
  17. Brilliant show.. "Id rather be a bus w***er than drive that yellow piece of sh*t"
  18. Sorry to hear the bad news Marky. Its horrible to hear that its being written off when the asumption was just a bit of panel damage and a suspension arm or so. The same happened to me a few months ago. Anyway, I'm sure you'll get it back on the road in no time or at least find a decent replacement! Good luck matey
  19. I'm not an apple employee so here's a guide: http://www.iphonehacks.com/2008/07/jailbreak-3g.html
  20. Are we all still up for doing this at Wales? Any update on Phil?
  21. Is it just me that doesn't find the Nismo to be that bad a price? Considering you get a y-pipe aswell included in that price I dont think its too bad First pro nismo thing I've heard you say I dont think its too bad either TBH for a propper branded factory exhaust.
  22. Non bose on a UK car does I stand corrected
  23. Andy, I'm pretty sure you can sell it locked. The person you sell it to just needs a computer and an o2 simcard. If they want to use it on another network they will just have to jailbreak it first and do a couple of other things but if you sell it as unopened its up to them
  24. TBH I think the non bose car is better/easier to upgrade if you are looking to add subs etc as there are no digital amps. Just get yourself a decent Head Unit and run an amp etc as 3FIDDY says. +1 on the MDF as the plastic is pretty flimsy. The bose car has metal under the panel to mount the sub but im pretty sure the non bose doesnt.
