  1. Why would it be any skin off your nose what someone else runs their car on? 95 RON or 99 RON, so the car runs slightly higher compression and ideally runs more efficient on higher octane. It's not your car and probably wont make an ounce of difference to the longevity of the engine.Remember more octane doesnt give you more power and although the car is designed to run on Premium but in the case that a lower grade fuel is used it will pull ignition timing to prevent detonation. That will result in less power and less fuel economy but it won't damage it. That comment was tongue in cheek, but I think there is plenty of evidence to suggest that running a Zed on 95 RON has a detrimental effect on engine life. Mark from Abbey posted the technical reasons a while ago and also had some pics of some pistons which hadn't been happy using 95 RON. Can you image that, Nissan developing a car that blows up when using 'normal' fuel, to be proved wrong by a few guys on a forum. Of course I believe you though, I wouldn't want to start a big debate about it! I guess the US cars and Zeds in other country's where fuel is even lower than 95 RON must have been mapped differently. In fact IIRC most fuel, sorry 'Gas' stations in USA have a max of 91 RON! Why take the risk though on a performance car like a 350z? It has been proven that running lower ron fuel in the zed does indeed cause excessive engine wear so your point is totally floored. The subject does affect us as most forum owned cars tend to stay in the forum so if it comes up for sale I'd be pretty pi**ed off if I bought a car that the owner had knowingly run the car on the incorrect fuel for me to then experience engine trouble further down the line! As I'm sure you would too.
  2. I agree! I think we should make a list of these cars just in case they pop for sale a year later with the standard "always run on super unleaded" advert.
  3. ugly Totally agree, why on earth would you want them on a Zed
  4. And a very simple and cheap (£500) remap takes it to 320bhp and enough torque to tow the Isle of Skye And probably enough torque to make it fairly undeliverable on the good old damp british roads.
  5. Looking good. If you are planning to mod it then I'd get a decent exhaust on there and with those other mods you've listed it will sound even better!

    Light Tinting

Surely tinting the headlights and putting 8000k bulbs in is just a way of reducing the light output which seems a bit odd to me.
  7. All depends what you are comparing it to. It's far from awful but its obviously not the best either and there is room for improvement. Try one without the Bose if you think that is bad!
  8. £5-6k I would think. Maybe a bit more on a good day
  9. Zed looks so much better!
  10. Looks great. Definitely needs 19's now though, go for those Linea Corse in the for sale section!
  11. Enjoy it fella, you'll have an amazing day. My top tip, try and greet as many people as you can at the church. It was amazing after the day when my mrs said "I never even got chance to speak to this person and that person" where as I had spoke to everyone and it makes a difference.
  12. No issues its just the fronts I think need spacers
  13. I guess you need to find out if the ticking is likely to cause any further damage. If not then spanking £2k may not be worth it. They aren't the quietest of engines anyway.
  14. Are we taking private or trade here? It's not worth anywhere near £7k trade.
  15. I dont think in the trade you will get anywhere near £7k. I was offered that recently for my 2007 296 UK GT. As for private values, it really is luck. Some of the cars advertised are silly money but if you find a buyer than wants everything you car has got then they'll probably pay for it. I would say its best to strip the parts and sell the car standard as your wheels are worth a fair bit but if you leave them on the car people will be more reluctant to pay such a premium for mods.
  16. Never seen that colour on a wrap. It may exist but will be hugely expensive. As for making it, the way they tend to do custom colours is to actually print the vinyl but obviously this colour couldn't be printed so you might need to get your thinking cap on again. I don't think it looks chavvy but in my opinion just don't go too crazy on the colour otherwise it can look a little 'max power'. Why not go for a dark metallic purple
  17. I think he's winding us up!
  18. You'd have been better just paying a bit extra for the genuine nissan ones.
  19. If your gears don't hold the car then its knackered and I needs urgent attention!!
  20. Out of interest have you considered how this will affect resale? I don't know the answer just intrigued how a car would be valued with a colour change. What colour you thinking? It would take me weeks to decide
  21. Why do people wreck Zeds like this, it's totally hideous. Would rather cycle to work than drive that heap.
