    And how do you think Nissan do it ? Honestly mate draining the coolant fully is more bother than what it is worth. You could always flush it out with a running hose.

    There are removable drain plugs on the side of the block but I tend not to drain completely as bleeding the system afterwards can become problematical.

    Depends what shipping company is used. Some require payment before they despatch from there U.K. depot. Some take payment at time of delivery. Some invoice in arrears. Factor in around 22% (for tax and duty) of the total including the shipping cost. Also some Couriers will hit you with a service / handling charge. Alex.

    Triangle gaskets are £20.00 each but you should be able to reuse your old ones. I have them in stock if you find that you require them. viewtopic.php?f=38&t=31540

    The rest of the coolant will still be in the engine block, hoses, heater etc.

    I would have done exactly the same providing I was not picking up the repair bill. Porsche man did nothing wrong IMHO.

    Yes, definately worth a go. Nothing to lose. Trickle charges will not restore a really dead battery.
