  1. The guy is a total wally and obviously so full of him self as the video construes. I would not go as far as saying that he is a total prat but anybody that does not have mince between their ears would have had a forward facing cam. As had been previously said a good lawyer would have got him off. However the poor guy with the Atom may have been on legal aid.
  2. When you drive the tyres are constantly picking up energy as they roll over the graininess of the road surface. The back wheels will transmit vibration forward and the front wheels will send vibration rearward. So, looking at the vibration from the rear wheels it will take two paths as it travels forward, one through the frame and floor pan and a second path up and over the roof. The frequency of these vibrations is the same, but the longer path over the roof and down the windshield and A pillars will cause the vibration to arrive slightly later. As these two impulses collide they will effectively cancel each other out. Roadsters and convertibles tend to only send the road vibrations along one path. At certain speeds the combined vibrations from the front and rear will form a harmonic wave that will be felt inside the car. The weights you see are suspended in a flexible medium. Any vibrations in the vicinity also set the weight to vibrating, however the isolation of the weight means that it vibrates slightly out of sync and will also cancel out any harmonics that are building up. I am continually amazed that people call the smaller similar device inside the coupe hatch a “counter weightâ€. This is not its purpose; it is also a vibration damper to take care of vibrations that build in the hatch.
  3. I had one of those balance weights on my Roadster but it was fitted to the L/F chassis leg.
  4. to the forum. You will require lines as well and also a hard ware fitting kit. Pre owned Brembos and discs, pads etc and the fitting kit all in stock. Should have a dash pod as well. Just drop me a PM if I can help further. Alex.
  5. Yes there is a gasket, however they are reusable if you are careful.
  6. Should have worn a helmet to avoid detection.
  7. Paul, I might be able to get it in the back of the Shogun and get it as far as Perth or perhaps Knockhill. I am up in Abz. at least once a week. The boat trip sounds cool. Alex.
  8. Did you carry out a compression test when the plugs were out ? Could be numerous other things, coil packs or sensors spring to mind. A fuel pressure test will answer your fuel concerns that you mention.
  9. Once you get all the plastic trim out the way, it is a 30 minute job to replace the pump unit. They are not prone to failure, so I would get a fuel pressure gauge hooked up before you splash the cash. Is the EML on and are there any codes stored ? Alex.
  10. The lads from Nobles are over there and Spa from tonight until Sunday. Unfortunately I could not make it. Alex.
  11. All you require is the dongle key, cable and interface and software on your lappy. However you will require detailed instructions from Iain on what data logging he requires from you, specific to your tune and especially WOT logs. They pick up on the main switch board 01684 850999 but tend to ignore emails. If you require Iains mobile then drop me a pm.

  13. Providing you choose your coils carefully and you do not have a big drop then all will be well. However some coils have a minimum drop which will take you out of the comfort zone..
