  1. Nine places higher than the R35, oddly. Nowhere near 3rd place though
  2. Bearing in mind they're adding the Cajun (mini-Cayenne) soon, I'm guessing they're not too interested in other markets right now. In all honesty (and being completely biased I will freely admit), why should they? You want a roadster? Buy the Boxster. You want a small coupe? Buy the Cayman. You want a 2+2 practical sports coupe? Buy the 911. You want something utterly balls-out? Buy a 911 GT car. You want to ferry the kids around? Buy the Cayenne. You want to impress your golfing buddies? Buy the Panamera. There is no other car company barring Audi that have such a broad range of sporty cars that are all dynamically at the top of the tree (which is where Porsche beats Audi). Anything else just isn't necessary and would dilute the brand further. Bearing in mind the 928 was supposed to replace the 911, but no-one bought it in the numbers they expected because they all still wanted that gorgeous shape mated with an unusual drivetrain and the howl of a flat-6. Sadly, there's a reason that Porsches are incredibly common, but that's because they're all so bloody good.
  3. It's the Bad Boi-esque front bonnet that I don't get on with. I know it's there for aerodynamics, but it looks like those horrible chav Saxos et al that pull the bonnet down over the front lights. Also that pic above has the most grotesque wheels seen on a Ferrari since the 348 originals: They're just too skinny.
  4. Enjoy it fella, just treat it as a fast road rather than a track and you'll get the best compromise between amazing fun and not stuffing it into the armco
  5. Could well be a neighbour with a new radio source, usually it's doorbells that interfere but it could be anything realistically.
  6. because it's supposed to be anonymous. There is no conspiracy theory to be had here, if you don't feel comfortable with it you don't have to enter. Woah, who mentioned conspiracy? Must admit I skimmed over the anonymous part so I guess that make sense if you really wanted to keep it that way, but tbh it's all a bit of a faff and most other photo competitions seem to work pretty well without anonymity so I guess I'll be happy taking your last suggestion, thanks John. As an alternative though, would it not be an easier (and quicker) idea if we allow the winner of each month (assuming this is going to be a monthly thing) to choose both the theme and winner of the following month? That way we can all just post up pics and get this thing rolling, plus it'll keep it a bit more fresh rather than just having one person choosing the theme all the time. Just a thought, anyway.
  7. That was the case for the 996/997, which was basically the same car underneath. It's pretty much a non-story really, and I don't know why all the big guys are running it as 'news'. In 3/4 years time you'll get the 991.2, and then three years after that the 992.1, and then 3/4 years after that the 992.2 so it's pretty straightforward really. Besides, having made such a huge investment into the car you'd expect any manufacturer to try everything possible to extend the life of the product: Some will sell the chassis to others or move it between brands in the same group, but as the 911 is unique in construction they'll just put a prettier body on it and re-work the engine/interior/suspension setup. Easy as that.
  8. Why do we have to email them to you? Surely it would make life a tad bit easier if we could just post the pics up, after all lots of us already have hosting or can easily use Photobucket etc.

    Opinions please

Second one for me. First ones look too boring, third ones just don't suit the car at all as they're too spindly, second ones look just right.
  10. You need to know the exact ages and editions of ALL of them. Stuff like an original Flying V will be worth twice what a later version would, if the PRS is a proper Santana then that's worth a fair bit alone, Squier bass is probably worth binning. That said, for £6K I don't think you can go too far wrong assuming you have the cash spare and don't mind sitting on them while you find the right buyer. Also, details of the Jaguar would be great if you do decide to get the lot...
  11. I'd rather they just shot every lane hogger instead of pratting about with speed limits.
  12. Use a proper penetrating oil like Plusgas rather than WD40, you'll have much better results
  13. Much better, but I've tidied it up a bit to stop text wrapping on mobile devices 'cos I'm nice like that.
  14. Linky brokey, try again and wrap it inside tags.
  15. Tyres certainly. Not sure about Spa as I've never driven it but the 'Ring is very easy on brakes so a very good set of tyres will give you the best results.
  16. They really are incredible tyres for the price, and I'm sure you'll be very happy with them matey.
  17. More expensive than a whole new car, apparently.
  18. If only Button was any good at qualifying, we might have seen a closer championship this year. Right now I don't think there's a better driver than him on the grid.
  19. I stand to be corrected here, but I believe that it's once for locking, twice for double-locking, and thrice for double-locking but without the interior sensor.
  20. It's not just you, the windows don't come back by themselves. I preferred it that way, but I can see why it would be irritating if you're used to the opposite. No fix either I'm afraid that I'm aware of. Welcome to the club btw
  21. Tyres and driver training. Will make you go much faster than another 20bhp ever will.
  22. Locked as the OP clearly has an answer he's happy with and before this goes any further downhill. FWIW if you don't want to listen to people who have experience then that's fine, but there really is no need to go off at the deep end when they do try and pass that experience onto you.
  23. What tyre sizes? I don't think people are being patronising just honest, no real need to be so defensive. As has been said, if you're driving smoothly the TCS will never come on, so if it is or you feel like you need it then you need to be looking at driving style as much as anything.
  24. Are we talking about spinning up in a straight line or round corners? Tbh it's a 350Z not a 600bhp Ferrari, so not a particularly tricky car to drive and unless you're pushing on you should never need the TCS, with all due respect to you and your missus.
  25. It's easy when there is a nearby school and you have a years supply of harribos and puppies in the boot lol You forgot duct tape I was in a band with her elder cousin, so no dodgy school drive-bys were needed. We met after one gig and clicked straight away, so a few months later when me and the Ex-WTB had split she was the logical target.
