  1. Blimey, good memory! I guess the lack of oil was a slightly more terminal problem in the end
  2. Christ that's an ugly NSX, poor car didn't deserve that Why won't people just leave the bloody things alone and appreciate them for the stunningly beautiful car they are instead of bolting plastic tat to them! I think I'd be tempted to run a Caterham for a while, just to say you've done it. Buy now when the weather is (normally) crap, run it for a while and sell at the end of next summer, you may even turn a profit and almost certainly won't lose out. Benefit of running a shed is that you can get away with stuff like this. I think I'd almost certainly be looking at C6 'Vettes too and the odd decent Mustang as well if you like Yank V8 noises.
  3. Call them, it will probably get sorted quicker on the phone. Don't forget to take the name of the person you're speaking to as well as the time of the call.
  4. "iPhone 5, now retard proof!"
  5. Indeed, I wouldn't be giving a VXT a second glance with that budget. It's well within 997 or Cayman S money, as well as a TTRS or 355 if you wanted.
  6. Well what's the issue then? Call them up, read their t&c back at them and if they still don't budge then off to small claims court you go. When was the renewal date, when did they take payment, when did you first tell them and request your refund?
  7. Have you got proof you told them of your address change? Email record, special delivery receipt etc?
  8. All those cars on your list are completely different, so start at the very start: What must the car have/do? RWD/FWD/4WD? 2 or 4 seats? Hardtop or convertible? NA or FI? Does reliability matter? Toy or commuter? Answer those questions honestly and you'll narrow your list down a lot.
  9. The iOS5 announcements were made ages ago this year, and given that we know the press conference called on the 4th is iPhone-specific, I struggle to think what else it would be apart from the arrival of the next Jesus Phone. Since Apple don't tend to leave the announcement of a new piece of hardware and the actual shipping dates too far apart, along with the fact they very much want to be seen to get the next release "right" after Job's has left, there's going to be a hell of an uproar if they don't announce the new phone.
  10. Glad you're impressed with them Hoffs, they really are quite stunning in terms of feel aren't they?
  11. Due to be announced on Tuesday, so expect a release a couple of weeks after that presumably.
  12. Have you got the adjustment knob on the top of the lance set correctly? I find I have to have mine on near closed (so full foam) to have a decent effect, I put that down to the lance itself than the foam or concentration itself though.
  13. That's just a concept made aaaaages ago by an external design studio touting for business. The real iPhone 4S/5 won't be anything like that.
  14. Shame it's Fail Wheel Drive though
  15. 335i. Do it, don't ask, you'll love it.
  16. Tbh common sense dictates that you don't go and drive a sports car in the snow more than tyre choice. We've all done it, but that doesn't make it a good idea and the few times I've done it was when I got caught out and had practically no other choice. If there's (proper) snow out on the road, I would always leave the car at home.
  17. LA LA LA LA I'M NOT LISTENING I can't believe I've got to wait a year to get these on my car, they were bloody developed on a 911 FFS!
  18. Quick answer would be either: RE050A or Ultrac Sessanta ...depending on budget. Either will see you fine all year round, the 050As are significantly better in terms of grip but lack the outright feel of the VUS.
  19. But there's hardly an argument that the Mini was a far greater defining moment in car history than almost anything else on that list, that's the point of it.
  20. Well then why not include a cauliflower, a blue Biro and a tin of grease in it as well then? The guys on the original PH thread had to list why they picked a car as the greatest ever. Personally I love the Enzo but I wouldn't class it as an all-time great over something like the F40, despite never wanting to own the older car of the two. A list of lottery-win cars will be completely different to one of cars that are a defining moment in automotive history.
  21. I do it on everything that gets stats boost from Aura, so that's not the initial research but it does include the build, the adding of parts, and the improvement of both parts and vehicles.
  22. To be fair to insurers, there isn't a company in the world that gives you their best price straight away. Why should they, they all know you're only going to haggle the cost anyway so there's no incentive to get it as low as possible first time.
  23. Protip: When making the top cars, parts or upgrading any of the above, only do it when you have an Aura to use. I didn't know that when I first started playing so I could never make a car that would win the Kairo race, so I had to start again
  24. Same reason all the Minis and 911s got lumped in together I guess.
  25. What's the point of any list? It's just a cross-section view of the cars that petrolheads think are awesome, and it was quite a PITA for the guy to put together (check the original thread on PH for more).
