  1. I stand to be corrected here, but I believe that it's once for locking, twice for double-locking, and thrice for double-locking but without the interior sensor.
  2. It's not just you, the windows don't come back by themselves. I preferred it that way, but I can see why it would be irritating if you're used to the opposite. No fix either I'm afraid that I'm aware of. Welcome to the club btw
  3. Tyres and driver training. Will make you go much faster than another 20bhp ever will.
  4. Locked as the OP clearly has an answer he's happy with and before this goes any further downhill. FWIW if you don't want to listen to people who have experience then that's fine, but there really is no need to go off at the deep end when they do try and pass that experience onto you.
  5. What tyre sizes? I don't think people are being patronising just honest, no real need to be so defensive. As has been said, if you're driving smoothly the TCS will never come on, so if it is or you feel like you need it then you need to be looking at driving style as much as anything.
  6. Are we talking about spinning up in a straight line or round corners? Tbh it's a 350Z not a 600bhp Ferrari, so not a particularly tricky car to drive and unless you're pushing on you should never need the TCS, with all due respect to you and your missus.
  7. It's easy when there is a nearby school and you have a years supply of harribos and puppies in the boot lol You forgot duct tape I was in a band with her elder cousin, so no dodgy school drive-bys were needed. We met after one gig and clicked straight away, so a few months later when me and the Ex-WTB had split she was the logical target.
  8. As long as they're legal, it matters not a jot. I was 24 and Jo just 15 when we met, although I did wait until she was 16 before I jumped her bones. Honest m'lud! Seriously though, we're now 31 and 23 respectively and getting married this year and we couldn't be happier. Go with what your heart tells you.
  9. I don't think it's less, bearing in mind that it's proper exterior quality paint, but I guess some may prefer the plastic.
  10. Not being funny, but they've never made a Cayman with bare metal paint on the interior. Some quality but easily markable plastics yes, but no bare metal. well, the central tunnel was bright yellow IIRC - same as outside (i could be wrong though - it was a while ago) Ah, I see what you mean now! That's an option on the cars, and you pay more for that than you do to have the usual soft-touch plastics. I'd love to get mine re-done in either Guards Red or Basalt Black, but the cost to do it outside of the first build in the factory is somewhat less than appealing.

  12. I wouldn't take any vehicle I owned through a safari park. Not my truck, not a battered old shed, nothing. Ever.

    PF01 or DS2500

If you can, you really should. Combine them with the Endless brake fluid and you'll have nigh-on perfection as far as 350Z brakes go without going for a BBK.

    PF01 or DS2500

PF01, no contest. If you can stretch to it, the PF stuff is absolutely top-notch are is seriously worth the extra cash.
  15. I still love them, and whilst I do agree that the boxy nature doesn't exactly flow like we're used to these days, I still think it looks very futuristic in an odd sort of way. It's one of the few Alfas I'd buy at any rate.
  16. I got 2nd place first go, but that was with a gold aura and a fully maxed Mach car. I think I need to make a new one under an aura and try again.
  17. Fixed, and I've edited the title too. Have just unlocked the Kairo race, so once I've finished the GP I'm currently in I'm going to give it a shot but it's supposed to be rock hard.
  18. I'd always send the car to somewhere I trust over generic place. Always.
  19. RE050A are by far the better tyre. Dunlops actually aren't that bad, but it depends on what you've got on the front of course.

    Insurance Rant

But surely if you hadn't claimed and moved to a different company at the end of that years insurance they wouldn't have known and you wouldn't have had to declare it? But you'd still have to declare it or risk having your insurance voided if they ever did find out.
  21. Warranty will be nearer £1000 from an OPC. Expensive, but ultimately worth it in case something goes ping. You will also need to make sure that the car will pass the 111pt check with no issues: Tyres are the biggy here, they must be N-rated and have more than 3mm on them. If they're not (and on an older car in the wider market I'd expect them not to be tbh) then there's another grand to spend there. Brakes must be 100% too or you'll be looking at discs and pads too, so there's another £2000... You can see where this leads. If you really don't want a Yank V8 truck and it really is between the X5 and the Cayenne, then I suspect the X5 is the better buy. The Cayenne is the better drive, but at that price point and for what the vehicle actually is I'd stick with the BMW every time.
  22. No-one purchased this today? No-one? Well, I finally completed the Asia championship and am now onto the full Formula 1 championship, and am getting thrashed every race: Now I know what HRT feel like...!
