  1. What was the speed limit in the area? If it was a 30 and you were driving waaay too hard, they may push for a DWODCAA charge. If it was a 50 or 60 you may be okay, and they'll just bill you for the damage assuming you didn't go through the insurance.
  2. Link? I love mine now. I prefer the lighter weight and not I've got a cover on it to give it a bit of protection, I can appreciate what another decent bit of kit Apple have made. I'm now used to the extra screen room, and even I'll admit it's a bit helpful in Safari and when watching films on it. Absolutely the best phone out there for me personally right now.

    Which One

To be honest, this is one question that nobody can answer apart from the OP. You know if you want an auto or manual, that's as basic a decision as coupe or roadster, or petrol or diesel on another car. Things like colour and spec you can debate over, but gearbox selection? Nope, that's far too personal a choice. Drive them both and make your own mind up.

    Which One

    Manual for me I'm afraid.
  5. +1 I have no problem at all with the performance, and I could even live with the functional interior. Why they had to make it look like a cardboard box though is beyond me.
  6. Read my sticky on mixing tyres and make your own mind up I would not recommend mixing tyres on any car, so in answer to your question Wilja then I would match whatever tyres you have at the front.
  7. Been following this for months, I can't wait for the attempt and I just hope that everything goes okay.
  8. I'm pretty sure your confusing my informative yet slightly patronising posts with the various entertaining editorial pieces in the ST. Easily done.
  9. Was this the same copy of the ST that had the detail in about the upcoming Royal wedding?
  10. It's gone back to be approved, happens whenever the OP edits the original post. Give it time for a mod to sort it and it'll be back.
  11. This is a non-story. This is what your insurance is for, they will catch any bill for roadside damage. Tbh I'm glad that the HA do charge for damage caused, else it would come out of the pocket of every taxpayer who can manage not to drive into static objects on a daily basis. With regards to foreign roads being better than ours, they are but they also have a vastly reduced amount of vehicles using them so any wear and tear is much less than what our roads see. If we want better roads, we either need to reduce the amount of vehicles by half or pay more for the privilege. Trouble is, the easiest way to do that is with tolls but mention that and people are up in arms about the idea.
  12. Yes it does. Assuming the LSD isn't a hugely expensive item on the C63, then I'd spec it. It's a big car, and with that much power you'd probably want something to help stop the inside wheel spinning up. Assuming of course you drive it fairly hard on twisty roads or track: If it's just a motorway or straight line machine, then I'd save the cash.
  13. It was a failure before the new rules came in IIRC, probably why it's not mentioned in the new rule updates.
  14. Not tested if it's not there
  15. It is a failure, 100%. If you're unsure, just call your local test station.
  16. Is it as described? Is it in budget? Do you think the price is fair? Do you want to get a proper inspection done first?
  17. Sweet Jesus, that looks amazing!
  18. You have to tell them you have a wrap on it though, and you'd be best off telling them the colour whilst you're there.
  19. Match the fronts ASAP.
  20. Indeed, where is the little guy?
  21. Go and have a look, it's the only way to be sure. Apart from nuking the entire site from orbit, of course.
  22. But a click when reversing, yes? That's the clicky axle issue.
  23. Clicky axles is a common issue.

    Going backwards

If I were to do anything like that (and the thought has crossed my mind), it would be an LS conversion. Always fancied doing that the first time round, so would love to actually do it this time. That's a good few years down the road though.
  25. Coming from the tyre master thats silly and dangerous advice. Please explain to me how it's dangerous. Seriously, how is buying a car that is better in the snow due to the laws of physics dangerous? Not convinced it's silly either, but I'd much rather hear your argument as to how it could possibly be dangerous.
