  1. Well reminded, not that I've touched May's box yet...
  2. Disc and pad change is a piece of cake, you needn't budget a fortune for it either. Zmanalex has some sensible and well-priced alternatives in his section. Depending on how much like was left in the brakes on the car you were looking at, they may need changing anyway. Could haggle the seller down on this and use the money saved towards the upgrade... Unless the specific car had a massive problem with the brakes, you'll probably find that most will feel very similar, but it's definitely a good idea to drive a few before hand anyway
  3. You're actually taking a step forwards Most modern cars are miles overservoed, which means you only have to brush the brake pedal and you end up through the windscreen. This is horrible, and whilst it initially makes you think the brakes are great, what it actually does is rob you of feel. The Zed's brakes aren't quite as sensitive, which means you need to press a bit harder to get the same reaction but it means you have far greater control over the braking system. Also allows for much better heel and toe control. Stopping distance is what matters, and with a simple pad, disc and fluid upgrade you'll find the 350Z is actually pretty good. Oh, and hi!

Welcome Have you driven one yet? You may find them a tad slow compared with a FRS, assuming you mean a mk2. They're not, but can feel like it compared with the turbo in the Ford.
  5. DVLA are closing most of their offices, so very soon you'll only be able to do it via post.

If he'd been concentrating more he wouldn't have spun off there and would still be alive. That's a horrible thing to say, I know, but it's a fair a comment as the Armco one. Remove all the risk and it's no longer racing, might as well put them in front of a Playstation, Anyone else still up? I've had the odd hour nap in front of the sofa, but still going

Motor racing is dangerous, you simply cannot remove all risk unfortunately. That's not trying to make light or excuses, simply the truth.

    RIP Allan Simonsen
  9. We're buying one next month. F20, either 118d or 120d. Excellent cars, well balanced, good interior, grippy seats, loads of torque. Looks are subjective, but the chassis is excellent.
  10. Waste of time and money. I suspect Charlie Whiting got the biggest bollocking behind closed doors, it's basically his fault.
  11. Your car history is; Vauxhall Hyundai Nissan Sit down. BOOM HEADSHOT
  12. Jet
  13. Oh definitely. Right up there with Noel's House Party.
  14. My not cool what?
  15. Skylines are anything but cool.
  16. Dude, you're driving a Nissan. You're in no place to criticise a car for not being cool.
  17. You cannot get an M135i for £12k! If you can, I'll have three please
  18. If you caught him in the corners, then that's purely driving talent. Like for like, a Zed wouldn't see which way an M135i went.
  19. He drives a Hummer that does 6MPG on a run and is the width of a bus, I suspect that the Ram would be like an Aygo in comparison Cheers for the offer, I'll pass it on
  20. FI cars respond much more favourably to remaps than NA ones.

I'm rooting for cars 91 and 92 in GTP (for obvious reasons) and 77 in GTA (missus is a Grey's Anatomy fan). LMP1 I'd like to see no2 Audi take the win as I like McNish and his driving style, and 48 in LMP2 'cos Chandhok is slightly mental
  22. Out of all of those, I reckon only the Monaro would be suitable as he wants low maintenance. That's why I wrote off anything German or Italian, pretty much.
  23. Elise R or Renault R26.R, or in 8 mths time I'd expect BRZ86 cars to be around £18K.
  24. That's defo an option....15k to 18k...what would you go for? What are the must have/must not haves of the car? Size, shape, engine, seats, MPG, yearly upkeep etc.
  25. Excellent On a serious note, what are the Rams actually like? My Dad is toying with the idea of replacing his Hummer H2 with one, but there's precious little info about them over here really. Would probably be either a Hemi or the SRT V10, if that makes any difference.
