    My next car

If the dealer won't let you drive, take your business elsewhere. We had the same issue when looking for Jo's car, when Mitsubishi wouldn't let her drive the Evo. We told them to get stuffed, and promptly went down the road and brought an Impreza from a Subaru dealer
  6. It's very telling that none of the teams have come out and denied it. They would've been very quick to do so if Pirelli were wrong. I have no doubt that if they thought it might give them an advantage, they'd run them the wrong way round.
  7. Trust me, your car is perfectly fine. You don't need to do anything at all. They should rename the oil pressure gauge to the oil paranoid gauge
  8. Seen the Pirelli press release? They're blaming the teams for running the tyres on the wrong side... 'A SERIES OF DIFFERENT CAUSES LED TO THE TYRE FAILURES AT SILVERSTONE: REAR TYRES MOUNTED THE WRONG WAY ROUND, LOW TYRE PRESSURES, EXTREME CAMBERS AND HIGH KERBS 'THE 2013 TYRES DO NOT COMPROMISE SAFETY IF USED IN THE CORRECT WAY 'TO DEVELOP AND MANAGE SOPHISTICATED TYRES SUCH AS THOSE USED IN 2013, IT IS ESSENTIAL TO HAVE ACCESS TO REAL TIME TYRE OPERATING DATA. CHANGE IN THE RULES HAS BEEN REQUESTED 'ARRANGED WITH FIA WINTER TEST AND DURING THE SEASON FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE TYRES THE KEVLAR BELT REAR TYRES TESTED IN FREE PRACTICE IN CANADA WILL BE USED IN GERMANY 'FROM HUNGARY THERE WILL BE A NEW RANGE OF TYRES, WHICH COMBINES THE 2012 STRUCTURES WITH THE 2013 COMPOUNDS. THESE WILL BE TESTED AT SILVERSTONE, USING THE RACE DRIVERS AND 2013 CARS, DURING THE YOUNG DRIVER TEST 'PAUL HEMBERY: "WHAT HAPPENED AT SILVERSTONE UPSETS US. WITH THESE SOPHISTICATED TYRES IT'S VITAL FOR US TO SEE DATA SUCH AS TEMPERATURE, PRESSURES AND CAMBER. WHILE WAITING FOR A REVISION TO THE RULES, WE WILL SUPPLY TYRES THAT ARE EASIER TO MANAGE." Apologies for the crap c+p.
  9. Could be, I guess, if you squinted and imagined a bit.
  10. Nah, that's an image from a completely different car, they've uploaded the wrong one is all. I've seen a couple of Zeds with rear seats, but it's a conversion that I think most agree on here is bordering on dangerous.
  11. Lack of confidence. If he'd kept his foot in and steered correctly, he'd probably have been okay. I suspect the driver has a modicum of car control, but just not the balls to put theory to practice.
  12. It's fine. Anywhere between zero and max on the pressure gauge is perfectly acceptable. Checking the oil level is far more critical than varying pressures.
  13. My first post on this thread should give you enough information to make up your own mind. What's your initial thoughts?
  14. In the 911, Impreza and MX-5, nothing. In the truck, the Waxybox air freshener because it smells amazeballs.
  15. I don't blame Pirelli at all, I blame this exclusively on FOM. They wanted crap tyres, now they've got them.
  16. Rimwax has a stupid name, but it is pretty damn good. The other thing I'd use would be FK1000P, although you need more prep with that stuff but it'll last a year. Personally I don't bother any more, I just use some Espuma Revolution, which brings the wheels up a treat every time.
  17. Just take it back to where you bought it from, give them a chance at least. I know how I'd feel if I sold something and then the customer comes in a week later going "I TOOK IT SOMEWHERE BETTER AND THEY FOUND THIS AND THIS AND THIS WRONG!!!". Not that you would, but you know what I mean.
  18. I use UnRAID. Incredibly simple (as in even I can use it) but quite powerful (as in others far more knowledgeable than me use it!) bit of software.

    Trackday toy

I could spend forever on that site.
  20. Condenser is the rad itself. You'll have two, one for the cooling for the engine and one for the air con system. That little tube is the accumulator/dryer (some people call it different things).
  21. We can tell from the extra fingers Urban stuff I can't help with, but for the outdoorsy bits I'd just head out to the nearest area of green stuff at dawn/dusk and shoot away. Even just placing a car at an angle on the road with some fields and barns behind it will look ace if the lighting is right.
