    Decats - cel light

True, but if they're too far out they won't read any gas at all and will throw a light.
  2. You're kidding, right? If it's not raining, the roof should be down. Even better on those summer nights or as I mentioned above, winter days when there's snow around.
  3. Or enjoy those glorious sunny days or chilly winter ones with the roof down and the wind blowing in your hair... Oh wait, yes you can! Downsides to the ragtop are limited to the extra weight really. Other than that they're as good a GT as the coupe, but only personal preference will decide whether you can live with the slightly rediced bootspace (don't forget you have the Tardis when the roof is up), and risk of a dodgy roof mechanism. You can get golf clubs into a ragtop, yes. Put it this way, I'd have another ragtop in an instant, but if I was buying again I'd buy the coupe because of the superior driving dynamics.

  5. I'd quite like to test one of those against a proper noise meter, just to see how accurate they are. If they're within 1dB I'd be happy with that, if 3dB out then they're useless.

I didn't say they were slower Just that it would feel like it after the rush of a turbo.
  7. Enjoy bud
  8. No chance a K1, even bunged, was only 80dB. That's barely louder than stock! Can you pop along to a TD beforehand and get them to measure it? Failing that, hire a dB meter from Bookatrack (£13 inc p&p) and test it yourself. Really, for the future of trackdays we as enthusiasts should be making sure our exhausts are as quiet as possible. Don't give the NIMBYs anything to complain over. If possible, pop the cats back on and the stock exhaust, at least that way you're 100% sure you'll pass.

Did you try it without the extra extenders?

Get bigger O2 sensor extenders. Don't just ignore the light, as you'll never know if you have a genuine problem.
  11. My dad's bigger than your dad. It's not supercharged. I don't need to ring him to tell that. Box of Curly Wurlys if I'm wrong.

If the dealer won't let you drive, take your business elsewhere. We had the same issue when looking for Jo's car, when Mitsubishi wouldn't let her drive the Evo. We told them to get stuffed, and promptly went down the road and brought an Impreza from a Subaru dealer
  18. It's very telling that none of the teams have come out and denied it. They would've been very quick to do so if Pirelli were wrong. I have no doubt that if they thought it might give them an advantage, they'd run them the wrong way round.
  19. Trust me, your car is perfectly fine. You don't need to do anything at all. They should rename the oil pressure gauge to the oil paranoid gauge
  20. Super cool
  21. Seen the Pirelli press release? They're blaming the teams for running the tyres on the wrong side... 'A SERIES OF DIFFERENT CAUSES LED TO THE TYRE FAILURES AT SILVERSTONE: REAR TYRES MOUNTED THE WRONG WAY ROUND, LOW TYRE PRESSURES, EXTREME CAMBERS AND HIGH KERBS 'THE 2013 TYRES DO NOT COMPROMISE SAFETY IF USED IN THE CORRECT WAY 'TO DEVELOP AND MANAGE SOPHISTICATED TYRES SUCH AS THOSE USED IN 2013, IT IS ESSENTIAL TO HAVE ACCESS TO REAL TIME TYRE OPERATING DATA. CHANGE IN THE RULES HAS BEEN REQUESTED 'ARRANGED WITH FIA WINTER TEST AND DURING THE SEASON FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE TYRES THE KEVLAR BELT REAR TYRES TESTED IN FREE PRACTICE IN CANADA WILL BE USED IN GERMANY 'FROM HUNGARY THERE WILL BE A NEW RANGE OF TYRES, WHICH COMBINES THE 2012 STRUCTURES WITH THE 2013 COMPOUNDS. THESE WILL BE TESTED AT SILVERSTONE, USING THE RACE DRIVERS AND 2013 CARS, DURING THE YOUNG DRIVER TEST 'PAUL HEMBERY: "WHAT HAPPENED AT SILVERSTONE UPSETS US. WITH THESE SOPHISTICATED TYRES IT'S VITAL FOR US TO SEE DATA SUCH AS TEMPERATURE, PRESSURES AND CAMBER. WHILE WAITING FOR A REVISION TO THE RULES, WE WILL SUPPLY TYRES THAT ARE EASIER TO MANAGE." Apologies for the crap c+p.
  22. Could be, I guess, if you squinted and imagined a bit.
  23. Nah, that's an image from a completely different car, they've uploaded the wrong one is all. I've seen a couple of Zeds with rear seats, but it's a conversion that I think most agree on here is bordering on dangerous.
  24. Lack of confidence. If he'd kept his foot in and steered correctly, he'd probably have been okay. I suspect the driver has a modicum of car control, but just not the balls to put theory to practice.
