    Bump Steer

245/35/19 sidewall is 85.75mm, 225/40/18 sidewall is 90mm, so you're on a smaller sidewall than the 18"s. 18" wheels are much lighter, so even if you had a smaller sidewall due to the smaller unsprung mass you would still have a much more compliant ride.
  2. Depends on what you want the car to do. Thicker ARBs aren't always better.

I'd say suspension initially. However... You have lost some sidewall on this conversion so your ride is going to be that bit harder, which in turn means that with less sidewall your dampers have much more work to do. Compared with what you're used to, it's going to feel like the front has much less compliance (which it does). Solution would be to either change the dampers and run softer ones, go back to smaller wheel and bigger profile tyre combo, or live with it.

    oil psi low

Check the oil level. That's the only thing that's important. As long as the gauge reads between zero and max, that's generally perfectly fine.
  5. Excellent, glad it's not just me then! It's not a massive issue, as I too buy the boxes for the other bits which are great, more curious than anything.
  6. Really? I'm sure I've seen a vid of a RHD one on UK roads?? Nope, they're only doing them in LHD as the market for RHD cars will be tiny. Sad that a UK car manufacturer is doing that.
  7. Am I the only person who finds the wax in these boxes utterly shite? No consistency, utter pig to put on, worse to buff off, just a mess to work with altogether? I've tried different applicators, doing it by hand, sticking strictly to the rules of the instruction card, freestyling it, but I cannot seem to get any of them to be easy to work with. Granted, I'm only applying them to the MX-5 which has terrible paint in places, but when I get the hump with the Waxybox wax and go and grab my trusty old tub of DJ BV, it works fine. Is it just that these waxes aren't very good on poor paint? And yes, I've prepped the paint correctly beforehand. Or is it just me? Very possible, I admit.
  8. I'm saying nothing
  9. Just a note, but I can promise you that almost no owner is going to say they're unhappy with their purchase. Psychology and all that At risk of derailing a promising thread, can I ask what you want the car to do that it doesn't already? It can help narrow down your choices, as one man's sporty is another man's back breaker. Do you want a full coilover conversion, or just uprated versions of the stock system (which doesn't use coilovers on the rear)?
  10. Worth a go then. I suspect they'll have limited feel as they'll be quite a hard compound, but should last a while. For a car that only does a motorway commute, they should be a good match.
  11. I doubt it, not exactly a well-known tyre for performance cars. Can you get the 245/45/18 to match?
  12. Coupe does handle better. Less weight, stiffer chassis, why would it not? Cars are about more than just that though. They're about how they make you feel, and having that roof down makes up for a hell of a lot..
  13. Zackerly. That one only does A weighting though, not B weighting. I can't remember now which one you use for exhaust noise though Even at £30, you could buy one and sell it to the next person for £29, then he sells it for £28, and so on.
  14. My sofa wasn't £5k! It was £4995
  15. Front or rear? 20K on the rears is quite frankly staggering, but assuming everything else stays the same then yes, you could see that kind of mileage out of a set of MPSS. As well as better grip, feel, noise etc.
  16. In terms of content, I consider £85pcm to be better value than £145.50 for the TV licence itself.
  17. I pay £85 a month for Sky and I still think that's good value.
  18. How much longer do MPSS last over the other options, is the question being posed. A lot, is the answer. I'd estimate somewhere near 1.5 to 2 times as longer lasting.
  19. It's only £9! Get a few other people together, make a day of it.
  20. Just cancel the DD.
  21. Hint: Push the options to get through to the new sales team, they have plenty more lines available and can transfer you quicker Also, don't call at peak times when everybody else is.
  22. Lol massive optimism there!
  23. Good news Sometimes these things just glitch for no apparent reason, but if the sensor does fail again in the next month or so I would still take it back to where you bought it from and get them to sort it.
