  1. +1 Daryl, well said. I want to see cars going as fast as they possibly can with as much freedom as possible. I don't want F1 tech to be transferable to the roads, there's other series for that kind of stuff. As for the money thing, let's face it: Would F1 be any worse without Marussia and Caterham? Or with a second team for McLaren and Ferrari (like TR for RB)? I doubt it.
  2. Honestly I'd be taking that universal thing back and buying a Zed-specific kit.
  3. Possibly. I've narrowed the list down to three cars now, but still no closer to choosing which I want. They're all very different, which I guess is the problem. I'll do a proper thread in a couple of months when I'm ready to make the jump.
  4. You will need a MAF adaptor plate.
  5. Yes- iPadMini/tablet In a permanent fixed position BUT Needs to have a cover over it, I wouldn't want it on display 24/7 as some scroat will try to break in to remove it. Assuming you could sort that somehow, then I would definitely get one. Assuming I get a Zed next, of course.
  6. Centre caps in the bin. Number plate fitted properly. Eyelids off to join the centre caps. Tyres that aren't stretched. Then my friend, I believe you'd have just about one of the nicest looking Zeds I've seen. Good job!
  7. The advantage is that it pushes the development of technology to road cars, which ultimately is supposed to be one of the main goals of F1. That's why we've got tiny engines and turbos back again this year, with hybrid systems. Sadly, the tighter F1 rules become, the less relevance to road tech we see. LMP1 has been miles ahead on that front for years. Diesels, hybrids, regular size tyres, fuel economy etc.
  8. Don't think a GT-R would be eligible in GTP/Am, would need a lot of changes and that would affect competitiveness. Never mind that I don't think Nissan even make a GT GT-R, so no factory support.
  9. Not at all, they use the tyres for something ridiculous like 80% of the suspension travel. New wheels with lower profile tyres will need massive overhauls to the suspension design.
  10. It won't be a GT-R in anything but name, not if it wants to be competitive in LMP1. I'm really looking forward to see what they come up with, should be a great battle
  11. They currently use 13" wheels in F1. They're 18"s in LMP1. And they look awesome.
  12. The only time I will stay right longer than required is if I'm travelling in convoy with people who's driving I'm not familiar with, just to make sure we stay together. Any other time, I keep left obsessively. Basically, if you could move left and you don't, then you're as much of the problem as anyone else regardless of what you drive.
  13. Good riddance. Utter waste of space. Even when I gave him the benefit of the doubt and tried to converse with him on a level he might be able to understand, he was still a *****.
  14. Always use a six sided socket, nothing else.
  15. Either. Not a Zed though, please.
  16. It probably took one look and decided suicide was better than risking seeing that again
  17. You need to actually drive these cars. So, so different.
  18. Can't see his groin from here, so no idea.
  19. Oh, and for clarity in no way, shape or form do I consider myself able to map. I bodged my MR2 and got away with it, and I get the theory, but that's as far as it goes!
