  1. That's an interesting point, I hadn't thought about that. If Scotland isn't accepted into the EU, there's no easy route for bailout money either. Probably unlikely in the short term though.
  2. I still have serious doubts over this, y'know.
  3. FWIW, my thoughts: - V8 so a LS/JZ/RB, Anythings possible at the Zed shed, however this could potentially be the most expensive option. I need to do a lot of research into it, but i'm probably looking at £10k+ for this work - I need to have a chat with Wasso and Bizz. Unless you think you'll have £15K spare, I wouldn't go down this route. Given your situation now, and the fluidity of it, I'd discount this straight away. - Forged Engine Build - Straight up around £7.5K. See above. - Buy another DE Engine - £1000-£2000, the only issue with this is, it's like a lottery. I could buy a mint engine, or I could buy a dog of an engine. You can get the engine tested and everything before it goes in. You worry about this applies equally to the V8 swap or the forged engine build: Really, you never know it'll all be fine until you get it running. Even if you bought brand-new, it could still be a duffer! - Buy another Zed (Cat C/D) Or something with Rear end damage ( Or any damage) - This way I can drive the car and get a feel for the engine etc. Plus I can then split the car and sell spares etc. - Not a bad option at all, if you have the time and space. - Keyser has 3 engines at the Zed shed which we could possibly make one engine work out of all them. Again, worth considering if the above two options don't work for you. Whatever you decide, you have our support. This might be a good time though to start looking at getting your own place sorted, and get some stability though
  4. Why should we get wound up about that? Apparently if it doesn't directly involve us, we shouldn't have an opinion as it doesn't make any difference.
  5. Have you actually read any of my last few posts?

EDC was definitely an option. The car I briefly had didn't have it. Knowing what I know now with regards to adaptive suspension systems, I'd actively seek out a car without it.
  7. HR is a significantly better car. But that's okay, because even a standard DE Zed is a mighty fine thing indeed
  8. It doesn't work very well with my engine, there's a bit too much det for my taste. With things like these you should always remap for the individual engine IMHO, it's not like a generic map for an NA car with an air filter and exhaust that you can pretty much get away with swapping as long as the original tuner was competent, too much scope for things to go wrong on FI. Can't wait to get her back now
  9. Not sure about other providers, but O2 haven't yet updated their 5S contract prices so I'd expect the 6 to be broadly the same as that, and then the 6 Plus to be that bit extra as per the difference between retail 6/6 Plus prices IYSWIM.
  10. Mad props from Braintree bro! Or hi, and welcome along
  11. There's a programme on BBC 3 right now, about 16 yr olds voting on this. Scary.
  12. ^^^This. This is the whole thing in a nutshell. If Yes had every answer to every question, then I would totally understand every Scot voting yes. As it stands, it's a gigantic shot in the dark with nothing more than "Well, at least we're not Westminster!" as the broad tagline. That just seems utterly crazy to me.
  13. Found it on the wiki, Scotland voted 63% in favour of not using PR. That's a pretty big majority, can't see that changing any time soon.
  14. Is that even an option any more? I've not seen any Yes material saying that they've any interest in another referendum. What did the Scots vote for last time on that?

I'd like to drive one again, to see if my original thought were correct or whether my tastes have changed.
  16. That's democracy as a whole: That's not Westminster-specific. Cronyism is a great word, btw! Trouble is that you'll swap Westminster cronyism for Holyrood cronyism. You won't change the fact it's an awful but unavoidable part of politics across the world. I do agree that being ruled by local cronies is nicer than being ruled by further away cronies. I just think the risks far outweigh the benefits, is all.
  17. No, that's fine. Just wanted to be clear about what we define as a majority. 'Cos really, if 39% of people vote yes, and 38% vote no, then the majority of people don't actually want independence.
  18. Gone :byebye:
  19. I know, me and Coldel the sensible ones, who'd have thought it?!
  20. Fixed. And if the majority want to stay with the UK?
  21. There's been a lot of company directors who have come out on one side or the other, but I was looking at a list the other day and the scary thing was that all the Yes guys were ex-CEOs, and the No guys current CEOs. I wish I could find the list again, as it genuinely surprised me. I can't work out what the ex-CEOs have to gain by saying Yes.
  22. London to York is less than Edinburgh to Thurso. The north of England complain about not being understood, so why do you think Holyrood will do any better? I don't think paying 5p for carriers or spending a fortune on electric cars is anything to shout about, but hey ho, each to their own.
  23. Is Edinburgh not sufficiently different from the Highlands? What works in one will not work in another. That's a duff argument, you're just swapping one for another.
  24. Is that not what Labour is for? Anti-big business? If people starting voting for their MP rather than the party, maybe things would change. Although I suspect the argument over how our financial and government systems work is far bigger than this thread could take
  25. There's been watches for those people since the late 19th century.
