  1. MCC coming soo The more I see and read of Destiny, the less I think it's for me. I watched a stream yesterday of a clan doing a raid, took them over 6 hours and they still didn't finish it.
  2. Ironically, if he'd been in a van he would've passed.
  3. I've been sending people random texts all day with the auto fill
  4. Decent, unmolested ones are few and far between. Either way, they're only getting older and more fragile with every passing year, whereas generic track toys can be of any age.
  5. Track toys will always be available. Decent R34s may not. Get the R34 and scratch the itch whilst you can.
  6. What does he need the car for, for a week? Can he not just suffer with public transport? I just think it's going to be a lot of cost and ballache for little gain.
  7. Mine's done too. You can have some fun with the predictive keyboard, just keep tapping away at one button and see what it writes for you Other than that there's a few nice tweaks (being able to send location via text is a godsend), but it's just about tidying it up a little I think. It's more for developers, as it frees up the device for their software.
  8. I'm not sure any one would, or that I'd bother if it's just for a week. Tbh using taxis would probably be cheaper.
  9. I checked, it was the 35i. Impressive stuff from the fat Datsun, it has to be said.
  10. If you're buying a manual 997, don't waste your money on the sport mode retrofit, it's not worth it. PDK or Turbo though, it's a must have. Fair comment though on everything else. I'd find it tough to choose between C63 and M6 myself, but a nice problem to have
  11. Well, if it is then I think we could be having an interesting chat
  12. If I had the cash, I'd probably have bought this by now. God damn you house, sell!
  13. Samsung would give their left testicle for half of the media coverage that Apple get. I think you under estimate just how big Apple products are in the US. They're everywhere. If Apple can make NFC payments popular there, they'll spread over here and then everyone (Apple, Android, Windows) will benefit. Don't talk such guff about the cables. At least Apple have bothered inventing a cable that can be used either side, which makes it much easier to use. USB still isn't there!
  14. Stevo, that's great, thanks! The car in question has had the water pump done for a metal one, I couldn't see any signs of leakage when I checked in the usual areas, apparently the owner has changed 3 out of 4 coil packs, and it's definitely a 225 (paperwork, age, features etc). Didn't realise it was quite so easy as changing the steering wheel to fool people, though. That's the first I've heard of the rear door locks, doesn't sound like much fun to have to do so we'll definitely keep an eye out for that.
  15. No, not for me! My brother has just sold his Cayman R and has picked one of these up for cheaps, we're picking it up tonight. Just wondered if any one else had had one at all, or has any ownership advice?
  16. They're a compromise, sure, but the experience is incredible. Whether you can live with the compromise is the key question.
  17. Is it a brilliant idea? YES Would it be of huge benefit to the area? YES Would it get the use it deserves? YES Do the locals want it? YES Is it financially viable? YES Will it ever get built? NO

    Brake Pads

There you go then, easy solved
  19. £15K will get you a 111R with the 2ZZ lump in, but you might have to wait for the right car. That'll damn nearly get you a VXR though, and I know which the superior car if you can live with driving a Lego brick.
  20. Condition really doesn't suffer on Porsches., as long as they're looked after. I put my 2008 45k miler up next to a 2011 10k miler, and mine was in far superior nick. Look at the older cars: Decent leather is decent leather, and any 997 has that. I'd be amazed if you could tell the difference between a 2005 car with 100k and an early 2008 car with 40k: I wouldn't, assuming they've been maintained well. Go and have a look at the high milers, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. That said, the 997.2 is a much better car in every way, I sold mine for £35K so they're starting to come down. I still say do the M6 while you can though.

    Brake Pads

Do EBC do Yellowstuff for the 370, does anyone know? They're excellent pads, I've used them across a variety of vehicles and all have enjoyed the benefits.
  22. Agreed. In fact, you could buy a VXT or an Elise now, run it for six months then probably sell at a profit next year,..
