  1. Screw you Roscheat, great job Lewis!
  2. Normally I'd agree, but I'm not sure he can. Is there any actual problem with the car? I don't think so, so unless it's now making huge grinding noises there's no grounds for rejection. Frustrating, as I totally agree with you in the possible damage, but the law would not agree with the OP here.
  3. Top man, will grab it later
  4. F1's on man! What channel? Might catch it on demand if poss.
  5. He's always been a legend
  6. No panic, you're as covered as you can be at this point. Check the oil level. It'll be very low and under the min limit, so top up to the max level. Inform the garage in writing of this, and keep a very close eye on the level over the next couple thousand miles. If it stays roughly the same, then don't worry about it. If you burn through more than 500ml in 1k miles, then tell the garage and see what their move is. If you burn 1l in 1k miles then you have a serious issue, and should start thinking about rejection. Your car may be fine, or it may not. You won't know for now, so just keep an eye on it and fingers crossed.
  7. R888s sidewalls are quite stiff, but I personally find them really good for feel. Try dropping the pressures massively, I ran them about 10psi less on the Zed and about 8psi less on the MR2. Doesn't take long to get hear into them to get them to expand. Bet it's a blast though!
  8. Good shout, I assumed polished but if it proper chrome then Darren's plan is spot-on
  9. Autosol and some 00 wire wool, then just Autosol on a microfibre should work. Will take a while though! When you're done, get some LSP on it like FK1000P to protect it.
  10. They can send you a cheque all they want, all you need to do is throw it in the bin and call & email them confirming that you are not accepting their settlement figure at this time. Where is the car right now? If it's in a yard waiting to be scrapped, they're paying storage costs so want it shifted ASAP, hence them trying to push you. If it's on your drive, I'd be trying to secure it best I could. Am I reading this correctly that THEY sent YOU some adverts, 3/4 of which were above their settlement offer? If that's the case, then I would send them an email stating that even their adverts are proving your case. Unless your car was covered for the value of the mods, then you have to value it as a standard car I'm afraid. Do me a favour, PM me with the amounts we're talking about here and the company involved, I can probably help you more that way. Only if you want to, of course.
  11. It's a Merc, it'll breakdown with electrical issues long before you get to that speed
  12. One of the reasons you're better off just leaving your car keys out for them to take: No car is worth a life. Unless it's a McLaren P1. Then you fight that sucker for all you can.
  13. I had no idea the 5Ls were that cheap now, that's great news
  14. Nico is about as exciting as a retarded parsnip. He's also a cowardly cheat. Lewis can be a sulky git (often!), but he's twice the racer of Nico and waaaaay more entertaining to watch drive.
  15. I've not commented so far, but this thread is full of awesome. Your car looks ace, good work bud
  16. I tend to keep an eye on the leagues more than watch it, as Scottish football isn't known for its quality... Nah, I just like that we've seen some different names in the top spots, makes a nice change from just always one or t'other up there. I think Scottish football will be poorer for having Celtic or Rangers winning everything again.
  17. They still care about this in Scotland? Scottish football has been much more interesting to watch since Rangers went pop.
  18. That's nothing to be proud of, owning Fast2
  19. Looks good Anything with Jason Statham gets a thumbs up from me Hopefully they can avoid a 26 mile runway this time!
  20. My mate had/has a 159 diesel manual, the whole engine ate itself last month and is currently awaiting to be disposed of. But yeah, I'm sure Wendy will be fine
  21. When was the fluid last replaced? Could be old fluid, or air in the system.
  22. So what have you bought to replace the Alfa when it breaks down then?
  23. As pretty as the 458 is, it's even better to drive. Stunning car.
