  1. Not how I wanted Lewis to win, but I'll take it, great stuff Lewis! :D
  2. Why didn't you ask? Surely asking a basic question like "Has the engine made any odd knocking noises?" is just plain common sense? If he says no then it's misrep and you can sue for your money back, if he says yes then you walk. Caveat emptor, as long as he didn't lie you have zero comeback. Withholding information is not misrep on a private sale. Did it not make any noises on the test drive? How long was the test drive?
  3. Looks good matey On a serious note though, don't ever try and use one to put out any kind of fire on your car, they last far too short a time and you put yourself in more danger than if you just ran and called the fire brigade. I tried one once for a laugh as I had a spare one, did next to nothing and was gone in seconds. Bloody scary!
  4. I think I'm too old for crap like this. Who actually cares?

Good to know, I'm scaring myself with possible bills enough already! Definitely think I need to go have a drive. These look very promising.
  6. Not really, it's a silly question. Can you leave a mass-produced Japanese built car outside without any problems? Well of course you can! If the question had been "Is there any benefits of covers/garaging?", then that would've been perfectly reasonable. I'm not trying to be harsh, and I mean it with the greatest of respect to the OP, but this isn't the 1970s anymore. Garaging is awesome, my car lives in there, but I also don't fret when parking it outside for a long period of time. Covers I would never use, for the risk of scratching is too great unless it gets a 100% clean before you put it on. Probably okay if you have the time and/or don't drive the car very often, but it's not for me.
  7. Yeah, come on and cheat again Nico! Come on and crash off Nico! Come on and not finish the race Nico!!! Or whatever. I get money if he wins anyway.
  8. Blimey, if I was over 18 I'd have bought my own copies already!
  9. My grammar is at home baking me some cakes and then probably weeing herself
  10. You know me, subtle as a brick to the face
  11. I'm sure anyone who can read will know, given it's both behind the fuel cap and in the manual.
  12. Solar Orange doesn't exist, it's called Temper Orange in the UK
  13. Correct, no points but a fine of up to £1000 and withdrawal of the plate if a personalised one. DVLA pdf
  14. I once drove my car around with an umbrella over it to stop it getting wet, and then I realised there was all dirty particles in the air so I covered in in a hazmat suit, then I thought about all the people staring at me and I realised they wanted to kill me so I went home and put my tinfoil hat of protection on now nothing can get me.
  15. *Temper Orange Also, driving like an absolute c*ckweasel
  16. I cannot work out if this thread is serious or not.
  17. I'd like to have gone, but just for the parties. Jo went, and she had to to become a teacher, but otherwise I don't really see them as necessary these days. A lot of people go just because they feel that's what you do, which is the wrong attitude, or just because they don't really know what to do after school anyway.
  18. They're not, hence me posting it here rather than in their section which has now gone.

Audi S8 would be a lovely barge, I'd also look into something like the E63. The Mercs have the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in.

Mate, that's superb help, thanks! Certainly makes finding one a bit easier, plenty of coupes and convertibles around.

I can only find the swirl flap problem related to the diesels, not the petrols. Not to say you're wrong, just that a quick Google didn't bring anything obvious up. I'll have another look later.
