  1. My guess would be an earthing issue, but Dave's probably more on the money here.
  2. The paddles are crap. They feel more like buttons, which is a real shame. The 6.3L V8 is a thing of beauty.
  3. You'll be fine BUT you will either have to fit any aftermarket seat literally to the floor, or stay with the stock seat (which means you can't run harnesses). Any aftermarket rails actually raise the seat up. So yeah, what Docwra says.
  4. Yeah, if people used it for that it would be great. Some people seem to massively over-process stuff though, making a good pic look awful. I should probably point out that the reason I'm not on it is also because I take approximately one decent pic every 17 years :
  5. See, I disagree. A filter can improve a good photo, but it can't make a bad one good. I don't think it's about having a million pound DSLR, it's about being able to take a decent photo with whatever you've got. So many people just chuck a filter on instead of bothering to make their picture better before processing, that I gave up with the service. The noise to signal ratio is just too high for me, but no doubting there's some talented folks on there.
  6. Ner ner ner ner ner ner!
  7. If we're counting mental age, then I'm pretty sure I'm in single figures.
  8. The same as millions of others, yup!
  9. Instagram is, generally, for people who don't know how to take pictures but do think that putting an olde-worlde filter on it suddenly makes it a work of art.
  10. Personally I think it's worse that he described Birmingham as 'beautiful' in his apology!
  11. I'd rather pay more and not have to go anywhere near Birmingham
  12. Well, if it works then great. Any one have any experience with the auto full beam lights, and whether they do actually switch off when another car is coming? Just thinking that this would be the only major failure on this new type.
  13. Just remember the throttle is infinitely adjustable, not an on/off switch and you'll be fine. That's where most people go wrong, treating it as a binary control. To be fair though, the fact you're asking so many questions on this means that I very much doubt you'll have any issues as you sound like a pretty sensible chap
  14. This. You know when you're pushing on in a FWD car, and the nose starts running really wide and no matter how much you turn the wheel it just won't go? Well, if you were driving like that in a RWD car it would be the back end trying to overtake the front. Basically, if that doesn't happen very often with you, or you have no idea what I'm talking about, then you won't need to worry about it at all.
  15. I've not signed it. And I won't. Nothing will ever get put into legislation to help us: It's simply not a vote winner. Ever. The best thing we can do is to help ourselves, and stop giving them a reason to complain. Every time someone does a trackday with an exhaust that they think may or may not be quiet enough, that's working against our cause. Every time someone thinks that track day = drift day and spends all Saturday with tyres singing, that's working against our cause. I like loud exhausts. I like sliding on track. I also know when taking the p*ss is going that little bit too far. If every single trackdayer stopped chasing every last bhp and instead made a hugely concerted effort into making their car as quiet as possible, we'd all be winners. Stop giving the NIMBYs ammo and they'll go complain about something else. My track car is massively quieter than our road car (MR2 vs Mini), and even when I took the 911 on track I left the exhaust in quiet mode as there was no point wasting dB. Sure, loud cars are fun and I won't pretend they're not, but ultimately driving cars is more fun than listening to them. We should help ourselves on this, because you can be damn sure no-one else will.

  17. Nope, take your own car and it's all done at North Weald airfield, so plenty of space for fun and slides
  18. Depends where, but I'd happily recommend www.carlimits.com with Andy Walsh, the driest Welshman you'll ever meet (in terms of humour, definitely not alcohol) but he'll teach you things you didn't think you could do. Can't recommend him enough.
  19. Doesn't really matter, it's your money I'd be having the M6 over an M3 or a 335i, or anything else mentioned really.
  20. Coolant gets warm quickly, that's not the issue here. The problem is that the oil will still be stone cold, and that's what causes the wear.
  21. JAE had Thor Racing in when they were at Peterborough, but really any trader with a hub dyno could do it.
  22. Kick him out to where? He's British! Don't worry, he'll soon be back in jail again.
  23. I wouldn't want to go much over 150k tops without doing the chain, but if the deflection on it is still okay then I guess I wouldn't bother. No idea on cost of doing it though.
