  1. 100% I can promise you that it doesn't count as a claim. If I'm wrong, I'll buy you a box of Curly Wurlys to say sorry.
  2. Have you had a look under there to see if anything is broken, i.e. drop link or spring?

    New wheels fitted.

Utterly vile, and you put cheapy crap tyres on. What wheels are they?
  4. Another typo, perchance? You've had an issue with the car where the handling caught you out, but you feel you know the handling of the car well enough to disable the ESP? Would you like to read that back to yourself and ask yourself if you think that's the right thing to do? Just drive there a bit slower and a bit more sensible, to take into account the odd handling you've got, and you'll be okay. I certainly wouldn't be disabling the ESP.
  5. Mine was dead out of the box, replaced within 2 days by Thrustmaster. Excellent service, I thought
  6. Don't mix tyres, you get some very odd handling traits. Pop some F1s on the front, they're a great tyre.
  7. No idea! Tbh I wouldn't even give this a second thought.
  8. Get yourself the Ferrari GTE wheel, it's so much better than that 458 plastic POS.
  9. Alignment should be done annually at the very least, 6mths is preferable. You say the judder is when coming off the motorway as an example, can you be any more specific? I.e. are you braking hard, med or soft; what speed are you braking from; is it to a standstill; do you have any lock applied?
  10. You'll be notified by post if you are, don't worry.
  11. Unlikely, I think. Out of 6.5M vehicles affected worldwide, 5M are Toyota and 1.5M Nissan. It only affects 25K Toyotas in the UK, so extrapolating roughly that leaves about 8K Nissans over the entire range. Edit, beaten by Graham.
  12. Because, in theory, it's insulting to the people claiming benefits.
  13. Who are you with right now?
  14. Auto 'box in a sports car, no ta. I much prefer paddles that turn with the wheel, like VAG stuff. Having them stuck to the column just seems silly, as it assumes there's never a time when you've got lock on and you want to change gear, which simply isn't true. If that way was more effective, then you'd see it in motorsport. It's not, so you don't. Still, huge man points for buying a car without ever driving it!
  15. 996TT is a proper supercar. Stock it's a weapon, tuned and it's a monster. The 996 may be by some margin the ugliest 911, but it's a better steer than anything that came before it. Like for like, of course: I wouldn't say that a 996 C2 was better to drive than a 2.7 RS!
  16. I suspect you'll find most people feel the same way too.
  17. Mine was the same, I used to buy it in 20L (4x5L) so I had enough for top ups and a change!
  18. 997.2 C2S PDK. Miss it like crazy, tbh.
  19. My 911 cost me no more to run than my 350Z. Fuel was less, servicing was more but less frequent, parts more, but I modded the Zed and not the 911. Tyres were more but then I was on 19"s, if you ran a Zed on 19"s then you'd be the same again. Initial purchase cost aside, there's no difference in running costs I found. Same with BMW or Audi stuff, it's only really when you get to the Italian supercars that they make your eyes water with running costs.

    R888... R?!

I always use GG on my cars, so that's everything from the VXR to the MR2 to the 350Z, and have tried the GG on an RX8 too. I had no issues on any of them, and tbh I didn't even realised they did an XL 888. That might be worth a punt, but given that you don't get a huge amount of feel on an 888 compared to, say, an 048, I wonder if the XL might make that worse?
  21. Interesting idea, mine's on an external drive and I've had no issues with frame rate.

    R888... R?!

I just went off the DT website, for ease. I do normally buy my 888s from there though, they always seem to have very good stock.

£5 a tyre more expensive, working on a 225/40/18. Bargain!
  24. Some amazing racing last night, although it turns out I either win by a country mile (one race) or spin off and end up at the back after 3 corners (all the other races!) Will, to save this getting lost do you want to unstick the FM5 league at the top and put this one there instead?
  25. That's why I suspect the cylinders: FIne from cold, but as the fluid and seals heat up they're allowing fluid to pass which is why the pedal gets longer. Pedal height at standstill sounds okay.
