Yeah yeah yeah How do you find moving from a ball type shifter to a lever type? I don't actually prefer one over the other myself, I've found it very much depends on the application. I've got a rounded M Sport one in the BMW, but run a custom brass lever one in the MR2. Does feel weird going from one to the other!

I ran the Exedy kit on mine, supplied by Zmanalex IIRC. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend that kit, and I'm quite fussy. Then again, the Xtreme stuff has pretty good reviews too, so I'd be happy with either. Definitely go for a single mass flywheel though, the gains are so much more than they sound like they'll be. Free horsepower and a better revving engine, who could ask for more?

Also, you'll scratch your trim if you leave your keys there

Looks good, which brand and where from?

I've recently started getting into proper hot foods, which is odd for me as I went the first 20 years of my life being afraid of a Korma. Anyways, I was getting braver and braver and pretty much eating the hottest of the hot in terms of food whenever we went out anywhere, so when I was at the Ideal Home Exhibition this year I made my way to the food court. There was a guy giving taste samples of his marinades. Me being me, I went straight for the hottest one, knowing that nothing was outside of my grasp. "Careful mate, don't take too much, that's pretty spicy!" warned the merchant. Clearly he means to normal people, not to me. I load up the spoon. I shove it down in one. Mmmm, that's tasty. Ooh, there's a bit of a kick. Hmmm, that's getting a bit tickly. F*** ME WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH MY THROAT??!! :scare: Yeah, he wasn't mucking around. Of course, I'm a typical bloke so couldn't show any weakness, so I slinked off round the corner to the Echo Falls stand, and knocked back three glasses of Moscato Rose as it was the only cold drink I could grab quickly Many man points were lost that day. Lesson well and truly learnt.

Educate us, then. Explain to us why we're wrong, don't just tell us we are. I've already said I don't know everything (I know, I don't believe it myself sometimes!), but I'm always willing to listen to a reasoned argument backed up with evidence. Think Bike is a stupid campaign though. There are stupid bikers as much as there are stupid drivers, and when the two meet there will always be accidents. Bikers should Think Car, as it's going to hurt them more than the car driver if things go wrong. It's a good idea, poorly implemented IMHO.

Once a bike has the grip, I agree it'll leave most cars for dead. It's getting to the point of having that grip that takes the time, which is why cars carry a higher exit speed as they have more of the rubbery stuff on the sticky stuff. EDIT Correct me if I'm wrong, 370Ad!

BWAHAHAHAHAHA  No, not anyone can make a car go fast through a corner. No different from getting a bike to go round a corner quickly, it's all about the person controlling it. It's just more likely to hurt if you get it wrong on a bike
-
Erm, so bikers shouldn't impede anyone else by putting themselves right in front of other vehicles at a junction too then? Ultimately it's like I said in my first both, both idiots.

I've been held up by bikers in Wales before. Let a group of them go flying past as it was a straight bit of road, they then help us up on the twisty bits and wouldn't let us back through

For me, a kebab is a greasy stack of meat in a polystyrene box, designed to be wolfed down rather than savoured

Anyone Xbox 360 owners regret buying a PS4?

Forza 6 has a special edition blue Xbone bundle available, that starts up with an engine revving rather than the usual quaint ditty. Cool as f*ck. -
Agreed. I think the only time the reason was given was Greekman, after his escapades in Wales when it had to be made clear that driving like a wazzock would not be tolerated on club runs. The Team do not tell outsider why people were banned. Trust me, I've asked!

Ideal number of cars is x+1, where x is the number of cars you currently own. Congrats on the purchase, the 987 is the bargain of the century right now. Stunning things to drive.

What fast food doesn't? It's the only time a KFC is considered tasty For me, it has to be a large mixed kebab, with lashings of chilli sauce, huge pot of salad with extra chillies (but hold the cucumber), and another tub full of roasted peppers, onions and mushrooms. Give me about 2-3 breads to fill up with it, and I'm a happy man.

You can do that now on MGSV, it happily allows for both play styles. Also, don't buy a PS4 just yet, a price cut is widely expected next month. -
It is, and it isn't. I don't think it's the kind of car you fall for straight away, and neither do I think it would be half as good if it was an auto. It's not light, it's not small, and it's a bloody silver BMW so it doesn't exactly stick out! However, it's got real depth. The chassis is superb, giving feedback as you want it, and in sport mode the steering is perfectly fine. It's not great, but it's good enough for me and I'm a bit fussy! The engine doesn't rev very high, just 6.5K, but it's lovely and smooth and with the right exhaust it's a nice grumbly V8. You have to learn to drive round the soft suspension, but if you get the fancy pants dynamic drive one then you don't, as that's bang-on in terms of sportiness. Get it right and the nose turns in a treat, and you can feed just enough power in to get the rear sliding. The gearbox is a peach, arguably second best I've tried behind the MX-5, so well worth sourcing a manual. Yeah, I really like it. The looks aren't to everyone's taste and the interior is 'functional', but as a grand coupe I think it's tough to beat for the cash. Dirty great V8, 2+2 coupe, manual 'box... It's a bit like a modern TVR that won't fall apart.

Gotcha Tbh I wasn't really planning on doing anything at all, it was supposed to be a cheap toy until I got something better, but I've fallen in love with it a bit so it kinda felt right to improve it as best I can.

If the car is in the wrong lane, then so is the bike. The bike isn't actually in a lane, he's between cars waiting to go in their respective lanes. Why did he feel the need to pull across from where he was correctly waiting, to alongside the Evo? He's on a bike, he should be taking the space of a car at a junction, not hiding between vehicles. I'm really trying not to come across as anti-bike here, as clearly the Evo was being the bigger knobhead out of the two, but there was simply no reason for the bike to filter through there. If he hadn't, and then made damn sure he was clear of the Evo by getting out of the blocks quick, would the Evo have binned it? Probably not, I feel. Now, I'm not a biker, so o don't know their part of the HC. If I'm wrong here and the HC says that bikes should filter through to the front at a junction like that, please tell me so I stop digging myself a hole!

Yup, I have Magic and Smooth as my other two main stations, along with Absolute when the signal is okay.
-
Filtering from the wrong lane? Legal yes, idiotic as well. He saw that Evo, and thought he'd have a bit of it. I don't care what he says, there was no need for him to pull over right next to it unless that was his plan.

"Geoff, get the pack of sticky bugs, I can still see Tarmac!"

Cheers bud I've not felt this excited about kidding a car since, well, the 350. Surprised, go on, in what sense?
