  1. Well, it's still far too quiet, but it's obviously one of those cars that's very colour-sensitive. Like I say, the orange is rubbish but the black looked lovely.
  2. Brand new OEM warranty? No, but if you have a failure that is directly attributable to the exhaust then Nissan may well not cover it. Very unlikely though! Aftermarket warranty? Quite possibly void, but check the contract. No one else can safely say yay or nay in that case.
  3. They're black and white, are they not?
  4. What codes are you getting from the CEL? My first thought is nothing to do with the stat at all. Rev limit on DE is 6500 btw.
  5. Never going to happen on a mass-market Jap car worth what, £8k tops? Also, they cannot write off your car if you don't let them. That's a myth.
  6. Seats and wheels are lovely
  7. Pretty much what Charlotte Rampling said yesterday, then promptly got absolutely slaughtered by the Twitterati for it.
  8. It's okay to send brake bias forward a touch with pads and discs, it's sending it to the rear where you can have major issues. You'll be fine.
  9. Don't bother reducing your insurance cover, it makes little to no difference to the premium these days and can even make it more expensive. It's only six months, but I'd still start her up every two months and let everything flow round for a few minutes.
  10. Brilliant idea Dicky, sometimes the best ideas are the easiest!
  11. I feel your pain, my brother! Bloody horrible walking round your own house, knowing you're being analysed* all the time. *Hope I spelt that correctly, or that's a really awkward sentence...
  12. Everyone is autistic, it just depends where on the scale you are. My other half did psychology as her degree, and I've been reliably informed on many an occasion that I sit a bit further along it than others
  13. I have every right. Have you not been on the internet before?!
  14. No wait, there's one my Mum's FB account!
  15. Trying to find some pics of it, but apparently they're all on the PC at home. I'll try an upload one later.
  16. Oh I'd say it, I would just pick an appropriate time Like I wouldn't walk into a small pub and shout out "WOW IT'S AN UTTER DIVE IN HERE!!" just as I walked through the door. However, if the owner asked me what I thought I'd tell him. Time and a place my friend, time and a place.
  17. No, I do have some tact. But I would say it if they asked. I've told friends before that their track accident was their fault, after they'd written their car off.
  18. My Mum's got the V6 tintop Camero, gutless thing with a slow gearbox, but I do have to admit that in yellow it's a very pretty thing indeed
  19. Some people are just generally arseholes when you put them behind a keyboard, but are actually nice people when you meet them. I count myself firmly in that camp. I'll happily repeat in person anything I say on here though, but I'll also admit if I'm wrong and something looks better in the flesh. StevoD's car, for example, I totally 'get' when you see it in person.
  20. My photographical skills are legendary, I'll have you know! Just for the wrong reasons
  21. I saw a black one yesterday in the flesh, looked a billion times better than the orange one I saw last month.
  22. If you don't want someone to give an opinion, don't invite the opinion in the first place. Trouble is, everyone thinks their car and mods are the best thing ever (to them, they probably are), and so crave the adoration of their peers. Mostly it works as we generally here know what works, but sometimes it doesn't. As I've said before, Silly Hat Rule. If you want to wear a silly hat then that's fine, but don't expect me not to tell you it's a silly hat if you post a pic. I didn't say I didn't like the bumper, I said I didn't like the headlights :p
  23. I guess not. I just prefer my comedy to be funny, but each to their own.
  24. Pretty sure that Jo Brand weighs more. And is generally more useless.
  25. By trip counter, do you actually mean the DTE display? I assume you do. If so, I really wouldn't worry about it. Just to prove there's nothing wrong though, just fill your car to full, reset BOTH the DTE and the trip, then see how many miles you get until the fuel light comes on. Then report back. Pete's got it right though, the DTE is just an electronic guess, nothing more.
