  1. Ooh, good question! I don't *think* anyone has a nickname for me, or at least if they do no-one's let on as to what it might be to my face. I remember back at primary school aged about 8 or 9, in a much more innocent time in life before anyone actually knew what the word meant, I used to be called Danny Fanny though
  2. Honestly, yes. If you don't think the MPSS are utterly brilliant after one year I'll refund you the £200 myself.
  3. Just for giggles, like. It's an AMA (Ask Me Anything) thread, go as crazy as you will but let's try and keep it out of the green room A good way to get to know your fellow members if nothing else, or ask those questions you've always wanted to! Since I started I guess I get to go first, I'll nominate one of the persons who posts a question to me and then they can go next, and so on and so forth. So go forth and question!
  4. Speak to Chris at TarmacSportz, I'd be amazed if he couldn't help you out
  5. have you tried it though? Bearing in mind OEM geo settings make the Zed understeer anyway. With a sensible geo, that will make the car come alive. With an aggressive geo it could be a bit twitchy for some, but I promise you pretty much no-one here is running anywhere near close to that.
  6. Not even close. It's like choosing Lidl budget salmon flakes over Harrod's Smoked Salmon Fillet Rubbed On A Virgin Thigh. You'll save that easy in tyre wear alone.
  7. They're definitely a 'nice to have', and they certainly look the part, but I've never bothered and I'm not 100% convinced they're necessary. Save the money and put it towards beer
  8. I honestly wouldn't bother. If you were storing them outside then yes, maybe, but over one winter they'll be absolutely fine. Chuck 'em in the shed somewhere off the ground and that'll be fine. I store my 888s on the car, in the garage, and they're still good.
  9. Thing is, there's nothing cooler than driving along through town in a Delorean with the doors open. That's worth the price alone.
  10. funny thing is I got the setting from asking you originally and cannot for the life of me remember, but still alive so could have been on the setting mentioned just now í ½í¸› Sounds reasonable, medium all round is always the best starting place, but you'll definitely want to change round once you're used to it.
  11. Erm, no. Front too stiff is understeer city, it's a sports car not a bloody hot hatch.
  12. Hang on, Gibbo?! I know him from 911uk, met him at a dyno event one time! Cracking guy, he had the 997.1 with the powerkit that wasn't the full powerkit, best sounding gen1 car I ever heard. Very surprised he only rated his own car at 7/10 and the Mustang at 8/10 for sound, that seems way off to me. Lovely guy though, tell him I said hi.
  13. Set rear to max, front to soft
  14. Told you I like ugly cars!
  15. Make it RHD and give it a decent engine, and I'd consider it.
  16. So, from an owner, but with no prejudice? Glad he's happy with it, sounds like a man with good taste
  17. I'd still put some decent flooring down. Either carpet tiles for comfort when laying down working, or tiles (or similar) for wipe clean awesomeness.
  18. Platinum, in a satin finish.
  19. Decent flooring is a must.
  20. Just plug it off, it's nothing important either way.
  21. See, you need an old man's car, like mine!
  22. Did you read the instructions, the light flashes and you count the flashes which gives you the code...
  23. Yup, why not?
  24. So what was the code?
  25. As long as the engine is off, disconnecting the MAF with or without battery won't cause a CEL. Hell, I've disconnected and reconnected them in the past with the engine running, normally the CEL just goes away once you plug the MAF back in and reset the code.
