Partly the reason I chose it, as it sits really nicely and is relatively subtle too. It's a DR650 single channel one, lovely bit of kit and the software is ace. Not cheap, but quality.
Depends which one you get. I've a Blackvue, stuck behind the rear view mirror and then I just run the cable in the headlining and down the a pillar trim, then under the dash and plugged into a 12v socket. That's how most people do it I think, you get a shed load of spare cable.
I reckon Ep2 was as close to old TG as we've come so far, and you know what? It was good! I'm starting to think it's actually CH&M that I was fed up of, not TG itself. Still really enjoying Harris in the limelight, having followed his career for years I'm so glad it's paying off.
Anyone else notice we have very little Stig in the show now? And how it's better for it?
I'm going to make you some royalty-free rock music so I never have to hear that dreadful plinky-plonky electronic stuff again
Enjoyed that dude, somegood action on three. Might even join you next year
I know there's a good few of you using this kit, and I'd like to pick your brains if I can. Nothing bad I promise, just want to be nosey before I take the plunge myself
Payments of Curly Wurlys can be agreed upon full and final disclosures
Oil temp of 112c is nothing, if you were pushing 130c I might be concerned but up to about 120c I wouldn't worry at all.
Possibly valve seals, but normally you'd get that when the car is sitting at idle not on the move. PCV is a good shout to check, easy fix too.
You wound everyone up by saying we all didn't know what we were talking about, tried to be clever by posting something that was masquerading as something else, and now you're continuing to attack the people who's help you seek?
Man, and people say I've got no people skills.
When did I say I thought it was blowing? I just asked a question.
But yes, clearly you've caught us all out: What a bunch of nobs we are who know nothing. Clearly we know so little, and you so much, that none of us should ever bother trying to help you again. Sound about fair, guys?
Be nice, but tbh if I was going for a track slag I'd want a convertible I think. But sure, as a track car I'm not convinced there's many better choices out there: Light, fun, revvy, parts plentiful etc.
Apex Rotary will do you a warrantied rebuild for £2200, which includes porting and the standard 500mile oil change afterwards. Pick a non-runner up for a grand, do the rebuild and then you're good for another 40k miles at least. Sohn adaptor only another £200 too.
They're an absolute bargain of a car. Makes me want one now!
My honest opinion is that a standard Cobra or Scorpion exhaust is going to be perfect for you. They're the go-to option for backboxes, and you can always adjust the y-pipe & cats if you want more noise later.
They sound sporty without sounding obnoxious. They'd be my choice for sensible money if I were buying tomorrow.
I hate Radeon cards, their driver support has always been so poor compared with Nvidia. Even if on occasion the hardware has been better, I just can't bring myself to ever consider one.
The important points are where it takes you from 20 to 40. That's the difference between it being playable and unplayable.
True, but they were spikes rather than overall higher numbers. At that point, I'd simply lower the gfx quality setting to achieve a more stable frame rate.
That's fine, but why didn't you just say that in the first place?!
And for clarity, never have I given anything than genuine and helpful advice to ANYONE who has ever PMd me about tyres. If they make the effort to ask then I always make the effort to give a reasoned and detailed answer. I know I can come across as brusque in open forum if people are asking stupid questions, but I refute the allegation that I'd ever do that when someone genuinely reaches out for advice.
How do you feel about modern BIOSeses and other programs that self-boost CPUs and gfx chips without intervention? Any good, or be just as worthwhile turning off?
FF does it too, but sometimes it still gets things wrong which is where the macro comes in handy. Or even just filling in email addresses or using it for bbcode, that's also helpful.
