  1. Really not, not right now. The spelling is atrocious, I'm ashamed!
  2. Can't eat anything at all still Spoke to the surgeon earlier, he's gonna get me eating soft food asap if possible but not too soon as it can irritate the bile duct. I'm sweating like a paedo in a playground with this infection, got silly surgical socks on too. Halucinations are getting intense, like I rekember having cinversatiims that simply didn't happen, ever. Unsettling.
  3. Anyone climbed it before? Anyone want to? Quite fancy doing this next year instead of going to LM again, been looking at costs and if you cba to get sponsored it's about £3k all in, including gear. Looks challenging enoug to feel like an accomplishment but not so hard you'd get out there and likely fail. Any hints? Or anyone fancy joining me?
  4. I miss my cats It's Lexi's 2nd birthday today and I'm missing it. Just want to give her cuddles. Stupid broken body. Oh, I had a read of my notes earlier when I transferred, turns out my gallstone is 16mm in diameter, which seems quite big.
  5. And no-one has pooed in front of me yet.
  6. I'm now in the comfier hospital, where I'm being waited on hand and foot: Ice cold water, fancy coffees for my folks have arrived and I have Sky piped to my private room on a Samsung TV. Could swear their morphine is stronger too, pain nearly completely gone but I've still not had a pony for a whole week now. Ah well, well, such is life. Had to have a third cannula though, last one was very painful on initial flush so I didn't trust that.
  7. Yup, he's completely ripped off Grundy's design completely, even down to where the last louvre is a fraction too long by the curve in it. Grundy doesn't care though, he just laughed and wished him luck.
  8. Sorry, wasn't trying to tell you off It's not about driving at 10/10, it's the fun driving at 8/10 where the the difference is really felt. The one thing I've consistently said to everyone on here over the last nine years is that badge is the thing that matters to me the least. To assume that all Porker fans buy them because of that alone just brings you down to the level of the people you're judging, no?
  9. Nice, really nice. Great description, I can just imagine the experience
  10. Well if it makes any difference I'll happily chuck you the keys to mine Torque really is an awful lot of fun, isn't it? What does yours rev to btw?
  11. Sorry, SSDs running straight from the super high speed M2 ports on the mobo IIRC.
  12. 2x SSD (OS and common progs), then 2x SATA 7200 for storing everything else. RAM is 12800 or 1600, seen both numbers and now since DDR came in I get confused on speeds. Nothing special though, timings of 11-11-11 etc.
  13. The difference between when I drive our Scoob to when I drive the BMW is just daft: Both have about 320bhp, both about 320ft/lb, but the Impreza has nothing until you've got 3500 revs on the dial whereas the Bummer pulls from 1000 no sweat. So glad this has all come together for you finally my friend, you'll have to do us a demo ride at Coventry
  14. PS2 I assume on the Pork and BMWs? What cars, that doesn't exactly narrow them down! Tbh if you've tried all those others and can't tell any difference between a set of Hankooks a set of MPSS then you might as well buy the cheapest. MPSS not even the most expensive anyway, but even if they were so what? They'll give you more miles, more feedback, more dry grip, more wet grip, and sadly also more road noise (which is their one downside). What Bridgestones? World of difference between models, it's like saying you drive a Nissan: Could be a Micra, could be a GT-R. The only thing keeping you in contact with the road is the tyres, they're THE most important thing to get right as they affect handling, steering, braking, acceleration etc. You absolutely must get it right, else you could ruin your car very quickly.
  15. Anything to put a smile back on my face, please feel freee to rip away! Will be here until Weds at least.
  16. i7 Haswell 4790, Asus Z97-E, 32GB DDR 1600, 1080gtx running just above stock clock speeds. Am now mobo limited.
  17. I'm going to have to come visit your workshop one day, I'd love to see this kit in action and possibly help/hinder you.
  18. I don't think I am, right now I can't even run 1080/60 in Ultra on GRW (but then Ubisoft don't optimise very well, and BF1 was very pretty even on a 980). I've never seen a 144 so no idea what it even looks like.
  19. You're not the first person to bang on about how good 144 is to me this week, really think I might have to invest. Want to do the BMW brakes first though. So in theory, or practice, what would you consider 'better'? Running 1080p/60 on full Ultra, or running 1440p/144 but having to drop graphics options down to get the frame rate? For me I've never bought into the 4K trap and frame rate is far more important, but at the same time i don't want to run on Medium just to get that frame rate IYSWIM.

I think it depends where BMW want to position it, you'd reckon somewhere around the £80k mark to give a nice gap between that and the i8, so perhaps £70k-£75k for the Yota? Performance will be okay but not stunning, it's going to be a heavy old thing I think
  21. Are there as many foreign language persons in every hospital across the UK? I'm not remotely fussed, but I think I've only spoken to one or two 'English' staff since I've been here, and there were porters. Everyone is friendly apart from grumpy bollocks nurse, do we just have this old fashioned idea that there's only a few non-nationals in the NHS when actually the majority are either EU, non-EU for within one generation of either? The government is going to need to work damn hard to keep/recruit NHS staff. Maybe it'll be better, maybe they can strike better deals with EU companies to provide UK training in return for more staff? I dunno.
  22. Definitely not! Just waiting to arrange a time for the hospital transfer now, no real rush as at least I've got the authorisation now which can be the awkward bit. Although potentially not as awkward as making phone calls discussing how you're about to get moved to a private room with drugs on demand and proper tasty food, when you're surrounded by older guys who are struggling to get a nurse across just to bring them a commode
  23. Megalols  Consultant was ace, really nice guy, am probably going to be moved across to private this afternoon. Likely to be in for another three days minimum. I just love how stuff just gets sorted, no faffing, 'ave it. Might be able to get the op done before I go away to Rome at the end of May, if the infection settles down enough.
  24. Nah, I genuinely think it was a good looking car in the flesh. Oh btw, if you need to get hold of me then do it via PM on here, I've no access to emails right now and I suspect t you might want to chat
