  1. Nope, not fussed at all. Makes sense, they don't really have TV out in the wilds of Bolivia but everyone has a radio, plus it injects a bit of life to the game as otherwise all you'd hear is the odd car rolling past or your own footsteps. It does, however, bug me that all the cars default to radio on when you get in them, even if you just got out after having it turned off! First thing I do when getting in a car is hit G to turn that noise off.

    Definitive Cars

I'm almost sorry I started this thread now. I thought it would be relatively simple to grasp the concept of, and might be a little fun where we query if the it should be the F1 or the Muira. Definitive != best

The Carrera GT is, for me, the most perfect car ever made. It's a LeMans prototype, with a high revving V10 engine that sounds like heaven, a manual gearbox, and the roof even comes off. Given the fact I spaff my winky nightly before bedtime over anything from Stuttgart, suffice to say I really, really love the CGT. It ain't even close to being the definitive hypercar. Not on this planet. The F1 takes that role with aplomb, nearly elbowing both the F40 and the Miura off the podium while it steps up to grab the champagne from the top step.

It's just a bit of fun mate, don't overthink it But I'm not having that the FRSmk3 is the definitive hot hatch. Nope, never.

I don't think so. The definitive thing can be new, it can be old, but because of what it did/is it will always be that. P1 for example is arguably the definitive hypercar because of the torque fill, that will never change.

You're now banned from playing until you understand the rules.
  7. Can't see you getting both for £150k, unless it was a leggy 96RS and an early auto NSX.

    Definitive Cars

Current Focus RS will be forgotten reasonably quickly, certainly not going to be a classic or the definitive anything imho. It might be the quickest hatch, but so what? Next year the new Golf will come out which will be even quicker. I'd say the Clio 182 Trophy has a great shout of definitive hot hatch too, much more so than any Focus. Still think the Golf GTi mk2 nicks it though. It's not about being the fastest. Think of it more as showing something to an alien and he has to understand that's exactly what you mean. I used the 911 as definitive sports coupe as that's what every single competitor would love to have, something that defies age and always drives spectacularly whilst having a USP and room for the kids. Doesn't matter what 911, just compare it through the ages. Hot hatch was an invention of the '80s really, and it's a car that carries the family at a brisk pace with perfect controls and steering feel.

    As the definitive what?!
  10. Yeah, I know. Then again, if you think a new Huayra is like £1.8M before taxes and before silly options, then you can see why they've dragged the old cars up with them.
  11. Zonda for £150k might get you in the door at the showroom. Nope, Zondas (even basic C12) have long been past the half mil mark, most now well over a mil.
  12. Well now I might just as well kill myself and be done with it You'll all be delighted to know I nearly had a poo this morning! First one in over a week! Wasn't quite a turtle head, but I reckon that monster will pop out to say hello later on today.
  13. Best in grey really, looks like any other large family car then. But yeah, red is nice. Local dealer refused to take our order if specced the yellow as we wanted It'd look amazing, but he knew he'd never shift it on again.
  14. F*ck me, FF is now almost £150?! That's just ridiculous. Serious amount of car for the cash .
  15. It looks like you filmed in Tard 'O Vision!
  16. X6 is one of the ugliest cars of the generation. It's Ssang-Yong Rodius ugly! X5 is smart, and inoffensive. And I'd still buy the dynamically better Porsche Cayenne. Do go try a Cayman and a 235/240i. The small BMWs are better than the M4 by some margin.
  17. Bottom of the market? No thanks. Early car too, plus that trader doesn't have a great rep tbh. If you can haggle £10k off a £160k Huracan then fair enough, but they're still in demand so I think you'll struggle to achieve that for cash.
  18. I'm sleeping ok, it's just that I seem to awake mid-fever so sweating like crazy then shivering when I get out of bed to cool down. Temp just taken, still at 37.6.

    Definitive Cars

Name what your car is the definitive version of chaps, not just a list of cars you like ...as otherwise stuff like this makes no sense. I'm struggling to think what the E39 is the definitive car of, the E34 was better looking and the E60 the better engine.
  20. Properly setup, yes they work. Just thrown on they can do as much harm as anything. Proven that on my own car! I make no excuses, it's purely for looks over any kind of lift prevention,
  21. Still here chaps! Been a bit quiet today as the fever has been spiking and the hallucinations were getting a bit silly at times, so I stopped morphine and concentrated on sleep. Hurt like hell when I woke up, but at least I wasn't talking to the desk or pushing StevoD's head away as it blocked my iPad, despite Stevo being at work in Cambridge all day... Saw the consultant, not looking promising. The infection needs to disappear asap so I can get the op in in time, atm it's not even starting to get better yet so we'll see. Bit of a downer tbh, so no jokes today.
  22. You won't get a genuine Huracan coupe for £150k, unless it's a crap colour with a poor spec. And I don't think people realise how BIG these cars are on the roads, you'd struggle to do the better roads in Scotland and Wales, for example.
  23. A 458 would be bottom of the market at that price, plus I'd want the Spider. So no Fezza. A 991 Turbo would be staggering performance, but 4WD? No thanks. So no Gallardo or R8 either. 540/570 are too ugly, and you won't get many options for your £150k so nope. I'd want something that made me feel special, but that I felt comfortable spanking the arse off of. If we're assuming this isn't a lottery win so I can't replace it the next day if I bin it, then I'm going to pick one car that's track friendly but not road unfriendly, it has to make a nice noise, and it has to be affordable to run. Must be showy without being flash, must be premium but not poncy. Above all, it must reward as a driver. ONE CAR CHOICE 991.1 GT3, in Racing Yellow. On the basis you cannot buy a 991.2 GT3 even if you have the cash, I'll take the earlier car. 9k rpm, 475bhp, flappy paddles but at least I know I like flappy paddles in 911s, and it would have to be the Clubsport model. Available from about £135k. TWO CAR CHOICE Exige Sport 380. For me a track car must always have the option of a roof, and Lotus make the best tin-topped track cars so here you go. I've never drive of these, however we all know it's bloody superb. £70k I reckon with options plus a haggle. 997.2 GTS, in Basalt Black. 2WD manual option. Still the best car I've ever owned, and for the road I don't need anything else. Perfect size, balance, weight, power, seats. The one car that does it all, I would find room for again in my collection. Truth be told I'd buy it again tomorrow if I had £60k spare.
