Indeed but I wouldn't rush to get it - remember 3g took ages to be adopted, it's only going to be as good as transmitter coverage though i just thought it meant 4th generation not as in 3rd generation comunication(the fabled everyone will be video calling from three) It's the 4th (generation) Iphone, not Iphone 4G (network, a'la Japan) It'll be out in the summer, probably announced at Macworld next month.

Like a netbook, it's not supposed to replace your laptop. This is something you have as a 3rd or 4th device for lounging about or taking places. Anyways, for one thing, it can't multitask, and they didn't even see fit to add a camera!

I don't tend to flog mine even if I'm driving for pleasure, maybe change up at 6k tops and use the torque. On the ebb and flow of the twisty roads round here, or even, on the similar roads of scotland or wales, I just like leaving it in 4th or 5th and just concentrate on making progress and taking a smooth line round the curves.
