  1. Mine does this abit, if you think its bad you havent tried a Z4 with RFT's tyres, now that was truely awful.
  2. The sat nav simply has a line out for the sound consisting of a Left, Right and Earth wire. I believe it also has a mute wire that can be used in the same way you wire up a telephone to a headunit.
  3. Well yes he does have JL 8" subs behind each seat in the stock location and glovebox position.
  4. Ikarus's install is far from stealth. Awesome system but not stealth.
  5. I find giving it a "blip" or touch of gas when changing helps smooth out the changes. If i come fully of the gas it gets abit jumpy.
  6. I had a 2.0i Z4 before my 350Z, was only 2 years old when the exhaust manifold cracked and a rear spring snapped. I was actually looking at upgrading to a Z4 M sport Coupe but think i'll stay away from them now.
  7. The JL 10" only just fits under, i originally had the sub in my Z4 and it was slot ported box built to JL's spec but this was too tall so i took the top and bottom off reducing the volume and went sealed..
  8. Never seen a 350Z with a nissan single din headunit, without seeing a picture i cant be for sure but i would say it should be a straight swap.
  9. The latest addition to my collection is my Citizen Eco-Drive Skyhawk A-T Titanium, its super light and has lots of cool features....
  10. Not if you have a spare Aux input. As i use USB and Ipod connections i used my Aux input and wired it upto the sat nav. Only down side is you have to have aux input selected which means no music while using sat nav, i was going to have a look into using the tel mute and tel inputs on the headunit but havent got round to it. ps. My headunit is a Alpine CDA-9886R
  11. I run a JL 10W6v2 of a JL Slash 500/1 Amp, best sub ive ever had and really has some power for a 10".
  12. What car is the single din headunit out off? Does your 350 currently have a double din? Its very rare for cars to share the same facia.
  13. Take a drive over to Leicester and CS.
  14. As mentioned already you'll need a fascia kit, harness adaptor and bose interface if you have bose. Also a steering wheel control patch lead if you have them. This cost around £60 plus then your looking at fitting. Where in the midlands are you?
  15. GT comes with cruise control, leather seat, brembos and uprated BOSE. All UK cars have brembo's, its not part of the GT pack. I would get a P3 done even if they dont do it. All they'll do is change the oil.
  16. Front speaker door covers just pop out (assuming there the same on all 350Z's). Rear grills dont come off and involve removing half the interiors trim to get at the speakers. If your after a cheap and cheerfull setup then i reakon £200 for a headunit, £100 for some front speakers, i wouldnt spend more then £20-30 on the rears. For under £200 this looks ok... http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-cde-w203ri.html Cant go wrong with alpine in my opinion. As you already have an aftermarket headunit you shouldnt need any extras, if you did the fascia, steering controls adaptor and harness come to around £60.
  17. There not the greatest underneath at all, mine looks abit rusty in places and its a 56 plate with less then 12k on the clock. Most jap built cars dont have the protection european cars have.
  18. If its not to bad i'd look at the welding option. Some times exhaust go out of stock because they make them in batches. I had to wait 2 months for my MR2's Janspeed exhaust once.
  19. Simply you get what you paid for.
  20. Looks nice, i traded in my 2007 2.0i Z4 for the 350Z.
  21. I love my swift! What a car, get it in the high revs and it flys but agree I go for 6 all the time. Not really designed for motorway driving. Had it at a 125 easily though. My c2 vts was a flying machine aswell and gave alot of big car a run for there money. My mini cooper s works, that's a whole new story! That thing was fast. I reckon I would destroy my zed on the track in it. Reduced pulleys and bigger top mount intercooler and pushing 210bhp with works then the kit was supposed to take it to 225. Thing was scary! We had a C2 VTS before aswell. Didnt like that so much compared to the Sport, no feedback and understeered loads, traction control was on/off aswell where as the Sport lets you play. Had a play with a guy in a Fiesta ST in the C2 and he was well shocked when i told him it was a stock 1.6 as he had breathing mods on his ST. On papaer the 350Z should beat a 172 all day long?
  22. My mates have put 4 people in a 350Z before and drove around on private property (mate owns a garage/car dealership)
  23. Missed this thread and already brought tickets the the Suzuki stand as i promised the misses she could take the Swift Sport to a show this year. I'll be sure to pop over and say hi, we'll be in a white swift sport with black viper stripes.
  24. Do you mean the Infinity Kappa component system, which includes the tweeters etc. as well, like this ..... http://www.icebuyer.co.uk/ref6520cs-653 ... 19367.html or just two 6.5" speakers? Like these ...... http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/produc ... /8837.html Rears are coaxial and i wouldnt bother spending more then £25 on them, having the sound 50/50 front/rear ruins the sound stage, i have my setup faded 85% forward. I was going to replace the rears with some JL coaxial's but there cheapest set it £70+
