  1. I`m interested in this but after reading the long list of posts I still can't work out what the day consists of! It seems like there is a tootle around the roads somewhere in the north and may somehow be linked toe hotel near Chester but that is about it. Clearly you old hands know all about it but for someone who hasn't been with the forum for very long it's not easy to see what is going on - or have a missed a vital post somewhere? So - when and where does it start, how long does it last and what is involved? All good questions I hope.
  2. Ok, so I take it no Dave at Phils today then... Actually I was going to ask about badges when I got there too I have decided on two chrome fellas - just want to hold them against the car to check first. Oh well, the rugby is on today so I guess my plans will have to wait until next week
  3. As live in Newcastle I can't complain at that Yep, I`m up for it
  4. Ha ha! Every scrotty mechanic has had a raz round in it!
  5. It's good to keep a Big Thanks to Phil thread going at all times...
  6. Ah, confirmed that teh Nismo is a bit quiet! I won't change the CATs. The DC system sounds good because of the twin piping. The 5Zigen is still in the running...
  7. No because then I will buy it ! Bloody nice offer though! I need to hear the Nismo too. And I`m not allowed to buy until the end of March because of warrenty Dave - rough idea of time and I`ll be there

  9. I know, I missed my chance. Saying it sounds stunning doesn't help me decide, though As I'm buying it from you (I did mention that didn't I?) maybe I should ask you directly Do you have anyone around in the next few days I could pester and they wouldn't mind? The thing is, I want a nice sound, not too muted but at the same time want to avoid droning on the motorway or sounding like some souped up chav scooby with a dustbin on the back.
  10. Blimey they are a bit tasty! :teeth: erm, the tailpipes
  11. Hmm, well you say that but I`m concerned that its a little quiet? I want something that I turn off the radio and listen too. It comes from driving V6 Alfa Romeos. There isn't a lot that sounds as good as them but I`m wanting to try.
  12. Its cheeky but I would love to hear few different exhausts and get an idea of what to buy
  13. Ah, for some reason the pics didn't download for me before. Looks nice! I`m impressed that it has reasonably subtle tailpipes. I was considering at a plain-ended 5zigen also. Can't manage Donny but will gladly meet people at Big Phils if any are around. I feel a new thread coming on...
  14. The DC fitted to the car? I`m about to choose an exhaust and am torn between the looks of the nismo, or something just that little bit raunchier in sound. I don't like big dustbin exhausts though so basically want to see everything out there and make a choice based on looks AND sound! Somehow I doubt that will be easy...

    tyre tests

Flick off the ESP and floor it round a corner! Shouldn't that read '..and then floor it round and round and round into a corner'

A tip for those peeps who do tend lose it; on a rear wheel drive car, do not try to put power down whilst you enter the corner. Brake whilst on the straight before the corner, foot off or feather into the corner, power on out of the corner, but always gradually relative to the conditions so not too hard when it's wet. Sounds noddy and I don't mean to insult anyone but most people only ever drive FWD cars when learning and don't immediately know what to do in a RWD when they get one.
  17. Manchester is good for me, but diaries fill up fast so please decide on dates soon. Otherwise the other half will book me in to help her shoe shop or something.
  18. There isn't any damage as such, it is just that the door has sagged slightly. It drops a bit less than 1cm when it is opened and so clunks loudly when closed. I`ll give it another try with the dealers rather than on the phone to Nissan. The guy also argued for a while that bluetooth wasn't covered by the warranty as it was an aftermarket fitment until I finally got it through to him that it was the phone system itself that was the problem. He still wasn't sure that the phone system was covered so I explained that a system with buttons built into the steering wheel was NOT aftermarket !
  19. They both look fab - how do you keep them so clean! 5 minutes after polishing mine looks like its been sprayed with mud! Erm, isn't Paul's car missing a front number plate?
  20. Nissan say: 1) No, warranty doesn't cover bodywork 2) Yes 3) Maybe - depends on what the dealers say when they investigate. It's a shame I have to take the car to a crappy dealership (rather than ESR) but I suppose it's worth it.
  21. Thanks Guys, I feel positive about this now Damn, been busy and forgot to call them. Hope they are open on Saturdays...
