Flick off the ESP and floor it round a corner! Shouldn't that read '..and then floor it round and round and round into a corner'
  2.

A tip for those peeps who do tend lose it; on a rear wheel drive car, do not try to put power down whilst you enter the corner. Brake whilst on the straight before the corner, foot off or feather into the corner, power on out of the corner, but always gradually relative to the conditions so not too hard when it's wet. Sounds noddy and I don't mean to insult anyone but most people only ever drive FWD cars when learning and don't immediately know what to do in a RWD when they get one.
  5. Manchester is good for me, but diaries fill up fast so please decide on dates soon. Otherwise the other half will book me in to help her shoe shop or something.
  6. I love this technical stuff
  7. There isn't any damage as such, it is just that the door has sagged slightly. It drops a bit less than 1cm when it is opened and so clunks loudly when closed. I`ll give it another try with the dealers rather than on the phone to Nissan. The guy also argued for a while that bluetooth wasn't covered by the warranty as it was an aftermarket fitment until I finally got it through to him that it was the phone system itself that was the problem. He still wasn't sure that the phone system was covered so I explained that a system with buttons built into the steering wheel was NOT aftermarket !
  8. They both look fab - how do you keep them so clean! 5 minutes after polishing mine looks like its been sprayed with mud! Erm, isn't Paul's car missing a front number plate?
  9. Nissan say: 1) No, warranty doesn't cover bodywork 2) Yes 3) Maybe - depends on what the dealers say when they investigate. It's a shame I have to take the car to a crappy dealership (rather than ESR) but I suppose it's worth it.
  10. Thanks Guys, I feel positive about this now Damn, been busy and forgot to call them. Hope they are open on Saturdays...
  11. Must be Zedrush - probably flashing the lights all the time
  12. It's a bit of a hypothetical as I`m going to ask Nissan to fix them anyway but: 1) Drivers door hinge pin has dropped resulting in drivers door sagging slightly. More cosmetic than anything but its about half a centimetre. 2) n/s windscreen squirter pipe has spring a leak just under the bonnet lip. Looks fiddly to fix! 3) Phone system can only recognise one name! (microphone pooped?) Ok so its not exactly a stuffed gearbox problem but it all costs money. What do you think of the chances of a warranty fix, especially the door hinge?
  13. Noooooooooooo!!! £60 budgeted for next trip over now
  14. Really? Lead will just melt! (Am I being gullible here? )
  15. Yeah, didn't think he had shiny ones in stock though so no comparisons to be made. Anyway, I`m avoiding Phil as the next trip there will be exhaust decision time - Nismo or the Pro one (like yours but can't decide on plain or blue tips). gah - I just can't decode on anything at the mo!
  16. I would! She looks rude And then afterwards we could drive one of her nice sporty cars round the track together
  17. It's the rust worms nibbling away at the underseal...
  18. Looks v nice mate Now if I can just decide what will go best with my Blue Z. Probably the shiny chrome versions...
  19. Good one
  20. Oddly enough I find an AA map book for drives in unfamiliar areas, and my eyeballs for the rest of the time serve me very well. And the map book costs £3.99 a year
  21. I feel sick
  22. Me too. I`m paranoid when parking and always check what is next to me. Never park by a car with heavy doors - 2-door cars or 4x4s. Other than that it is fingers crossed every time. I have received many dints on cherished cars and heartily hate the lazy, weak armed, careless slobs who do it.
  23. Plug the exhaust with rags to seal the engine from moisture in the air (presume the exhaust is SS so no probs there!)
  24. True, but not something you want to be doing every other day.
