  1. Ideally suspension and brakes first, and the rest is purely a matter of choice.
  2. Sorry if I've missed it somewhere else in the threads but in all that rain, did anyone get a decent short for Phil's ESR tribute?
  3. It's a hornet mate . You really don't want to be stung by one of them (allergic or not) http://www.kendall-bioresearch.co.uk/wasp.htm
  4. are you sure about the weights? that stainless steel would be nearly half a kilo if thats correct It felt that heavy to me at Chester services
  5. Did you want a grease-monkey who normally drives a micra hooning you car around town and stamping on the brakes Absolutely do it yourself, then beer to celebrate
  6. I thought searching on Google for beavertail would be a lot more dangerous
  7. No need to be quite so rude Adam knows more about Z's than you are ever likely too.
  8. ..and through them, us, as there are 10 lemmings to every thoughtful person...
  9. It always rains in the lakes though, that's why there are lakes... You will be able to have a barbie by Conniston and watch the Bluebird trials though, so there is some consolation.
  10. Super resin is quite shiny but you don't half get a lot of white powder! Best done on a breezy day to stop it looking like the car is covered in flour!
  11. Hi Nixy, it's Wednesday now so he has been in hospital for 3 days? surely you must have some info on the poor lad?
  12. It was us banging on about cars all weekend when he didn't have his with him :0 Hope he feels better soon though
  13. Wales Probably more than one million with all the mods. Also over 15,000 bhp
  14. +3 on grip and reduction in road noise. IMHO better than Toyo and Contisports on the noise, too.
  15. No need - there were plenty of generous people Anyhoo, the car was dirty 5 minutes later. On another subject, at least we understood each other without any of this bizarre accent business. As far as I was concerned you were talking perfectly, most of the others were the odd ones !
  16. Hey Louis, did you know Andy was taking photos of your croth !
  17. What I learnt: very well organised very nice and generous people a really, really fun way to spend some time Oh yes, i also learnt, never drive behind a car with buddy club exhaust. It makes your feet itch with the vibration
  18. Yes, horrible spray. Once you had pulled off I set the cruise control at a stately warp factor 4 but unfortunately lost Andrew... I hope you saw the speed cameras across the entire M6 on that bridge...
  19. Great weekend, although I'm still knackered after all that driving! Nice to meet you all (too many to mention!) and I came away with some useful info which allayed my fears over a light flywheel (thanks Martin and Chris) I'm also looking forward to a new knob at some point in the future, although apparently I have to pull mine off and measure it first Can you fit 52 Z's into a layby? No.
  20. I'm off for a mini-detail this afternoon (indoors thank goodness). Doubtless it will filthy all over by tomorrow but hopefully the rain and bird crap will bead nicely Looks like I'm making my own way to the Dean on Saturday as there seems to be no Northern convoy
  21. Sounds good. I'm cautious about mapping, thinking that if you can't dump the rom you don't have a safe copy for just in case... Other than that you know I'm interested BTW will you be able to put the original rom and mapped version in at the same time, switchable by the cruise control? That really would be neat during the try-out period just after mapping, again just in case.
