  1. trust you to point out something random That's not random, she's a witch - burn her !
  2. If there was oil in the chamber it wouldn't be wet, it would have been burnt off. You probably have oil in the plug socket only and have pread it all over as you extracted the plug. I don't know if the Z can leak into the socket if a minor cover gasket goes(?) but might you have accidentally poured some oil in when topping up? IMO, whatever it is, unless your Z has been running on 5 cylinders, blowing white smoke and losing oil at a rapid rate, it won't be all that serious
  3. I have 20mm all round on 25mm lowered suspension and no problems over about 25K miles. Phil always told me he had never heard of any bearing problems - and he knew most problems you were ever likely to get with anything zeddy.
  4. Doctor Dave had slept with one of his patients and felt guilty all day long. No matter how much he tried to forget about it, he couldn't. The guilt and sense of betrayal were overwhelming. But every now and then he'd hear an internal reassuring voice in his head that said: "Dave, don't worry about it. You aren't the first medical practitioner to sleep with one of their patients and you won't be the last. And you're single. Just let it go." But then invariably another voice in his head would bring him back to reality, whispering...... "Dave... Dave........ ..........you're a vet."
  5. I buy 'V' cars because they can take the mileage. I do lots of motorway miles and pile on the mileage, but it doesn't wear the car out as much as the low mileage cars with all of those short trips and stop-starts.
  6. I know, doesn't he know that to be authentic he needs to 'groom' that armpit? Seriously though, who would go through all that pain to have a cats ass on their belly!
  7. Is that really you - or your ghost
  8. We had a brief 'hello' lightshow Did I speed up or di you slow down?
  9. Sounds like the typical symptoms of a crank or cam sensor when the engine dies when warm, but an entire power loss would be faulty battery or (more likely) alternator electronics. My guess for 2p - lets see what the garage says! Good luck for something cheap and simple.
  10. Nice Nightrider lights on your car ion that vid, when did you have those fitted? Great pics though, looks like a great time (bar the wetness).
  11. Absolutely fabulous, wonderful pics and commentary, thanks for sharing
  12. Doesn't anyone sleep any more ?
  13. I could only make it for a few hours on Saturday but did manage to snap off a few pics (and get a sunburnt neck). The first is my favourite: two avid wash and polishers at work, with my filthy dirty car in the middle
  14. This does look like a good car but it is definitely the ad wording letting it down. "It also turns a lot of heads, no quite as much as my last car but you still notice them looking." - Not a glowing recommendation. How about checking out some of the ads for cars that have sold quickly and copying what they said, then add your extra bits. BTW, if you say you have excellent brakes that is fine, but to then say they stop you well when you hoon it around the country lanes, that is not so good!
  15. I would say boys. Eventhough the girls put up a great fight, and some of the boys jokes were decidedly dodgey in comparison, Sarnie came through in the last few pages with some great jokes and there was very little of a girls response to them. I think they ran out of steam (or stopped caring) and it all became bluster. Boys win?
  16. I quite fancy doing this as a birthday treat. Are there any recommended ones further oop north
  17. You are lucky, if you live in North Sunderland or most of Ireland you don't get any signal at all My radio has always been fine when I go back to Sunderland. I think their cars are broken Mine is fine from Edinburgh (the furthest north I've been in the Z) to Sussex to Wales and all around home (including the Sunder !) It is no different from the long twangy original in my experience
  18. http://www.startyabastard.com/index.php For those with older cars?
  19. Mmm, I like that metal handbrake handle - it looks like a job for KTA and his stainless steel manufacturing expertise.
  20. Actually the bling pulleys will help the engine rev more freely, much like a lightweight flywheel, so they are not as daft as the other two. 20bhp is decidedly more suspect, of course! Depending on the quality that isn't a bad price... The other two are admittedly pants
