My bro did up an old 60's land rover about 4 years ago. Spent £1500 on the car plus £4k doing it up and then sold it for £6k 2 years later, so got some enjoyment and didn't lose any money in the long run. He's currently 3/4 of the way through rebuilding a triumph stag now - he says they're very easy to work on and he's really enjoyed it. Not my cup of tea though.

No probs for me on iPad either. A useful iPad tip to restart an app is to double-press the home button to bring up your open apps, hold your finger on the app you want to restart until it wobbles, and then delete it.

+1 on all of the above. Another option could be an e36 bmw. I've had several of these and they're easy to work on, and parts are cheap. I work in Knutsford by the way... i've literally just come back from the town center in my zed.

Good memory! Yep - i had these wheels on my previous zed and they were awful... they were so heavy that they ruined the handling of my car. I also couldnt get them balanced, i had a constant wobble above 80mph. The final nail in the coffin is that the metal rim is infact a very thin aluminium sheet - one day it just pinged up off the rim, looking like i had a buckled wheel, but it was just the ally sheet. If i were you i would see if you can get some standard Rays wheels and feel how your car drives - see if it feels like a much better car (im sure it will). RE spacers, these wont affect your handling at all and they're perfectly safe - but they will make your car look a lot cooler

I had body coloured eyebrows on my previous zed and loved them - looked much cooler i thought. Got mine in frp from ebay.com

Oh god forbid you have to get up and press the power button... It's when i fast forward or rewind something, and it gets stuck and rewinds the whole damn program. I cant describe how infuriating this is!!!!

Strangely, i've got the V+HD box and really like it. Performs very well and easy to use, but most of all the remote is really good (i hate remotes that you have to look at the buttons before you press when they're ilogically laid out). My parents have the Tivo box which i dont like at all. Hideous red menus, very small writing on the onscreen menus that my mum cant even read, and you dont appear to be able to change, and it keeps recording suggested shows for them, which theyre having to frequently delete (although you may be able to switch this off). The only thing that annoys me about the V+HD is that at midnight every night it updates itself, and the remote stop responding!!

I was thinking that when i was typing it... i should just dl the UFC's. Bought myself a NAS drive last week that streams to my xbox so its not even a hassle watching dl stuff anymore. The one thing i will say about VM is that their broadband is the best there is... very very reliable. I've only ever had one outage in 6 years, and thats when my cable modem died.
