  1. Agreed! btw, phosphorous grenades will be great for booby traps, hehe. incase anybody is wondering why, it's because phosphorous will stick to the skin and burn due to exposure to air. the only way to stop the burning is to submerge into a body of water. So if one of them goes off at head height, then your choices are limited to drowning or burning to death. Spread the love dude phosphorous spray jets fitted around the car??? hmmmm.. what would be the legal point of this?
  2. mandatory military service for 2 years for all....over a period of 5-10 years...society will be changed for the better. the other option is to booby trap the doors/windows at night!
  3. its like seeing beer belly at a footie match! Live with it!
  4. no idea..i only enquired about EU spec....They do it on the USDM ECU's a lot.
  5. I enquired about the uprev/osiris reflash software...apparently they dont have a working program for EU ecu's. It was good value for money with Zero downtime. Got to wait...
  6. brake pads, brake fluid, anti roll bars. These alone will change a stock car by a huge degree in terms of physical behaviour and feedback. once you are confident enough to exceed the cars capabilities then you can move onto suspension, tyres etc...to increase speed and grip. Zmanalex is your best bet to get detail info on using the Z on track!
  7. I dont think the 320HP is WHP, I think they mean at the fly. Still a big ask to get that much, but it certainly is possible, just needs more mods (cams etc). From a stock car, I think you'd be lucky to see ~300BHP (at the fly) Seriously....can we all agree that flywheel figures are the ones to use for tuning purposes???? I personally wouldnt listen to anyone talking flywheel numbers unless they have their engine ripped out and run on an engine dyno. Its just useless IMO and adds to confusion and bad info when people want to increase their knowledge on the subject of tuning. Correct me if im wrong here! (if it is flywheel figures you want to use....any piggyback tuned properly on a stock car will give you about 30-35hp increase) I agree, WHP is the only true measurement you can take easily. However, even then different dynos will give different values. Add to that the fact that manufacturers use fly figures, you can just say that WHP is the be all and end all. No where will quote Joe Pulbic wheel figures unless Joe Public knows what the stock wheel figure is. Given OEMs quote fly figures, then the tuners have to quote fly figures otherwise it looks like you are losing power! What you can do, is use the same place every time and keep things as consistent as possible. Get a base figure (wheel or fly, doesnt matter as long as they use the same fudge factor every time) and go from there. Simplezzzzzzzzzzz.... I agree......run a base line dyno...get your whp/fly figures....go and get tuning done....run another dyno run from the same place again...difference is your gain????

  9. keep yourself in close contact with govt project constructors....i wont be surprised if the US style infrastructure modernisation plans kick in soon...
  10. 320whp????? from a stock car giving around 240whp??? no way! you cant get 80whp from ecu tuning alone. realistic gains with full breathing mods and piggy back ecu tuned for a very close AFR range through out the revs would realease around 25-30whp... in short you can take a pre07 car and get it close to the last of the 350z in terms of power. you will have better driveability due to better tuning of the AFR!
  11. its a little treasure hunt down there...all kinds of beasties lying around! That alignment gadget is spot on!
  12. Ive been using DS2500 for a year.....make sure you do some 40-0 stops as you get out in the mornings...and you can feel them getting better and better...brilliant pads for road and occasional track use.
  13. manc350z.....i cant really find fault with your response on the matter!!! But I would say that if we dont support brit industries and invest in more british industries and consumer products...we are in trouble...we must all make an effort to first get the businesses working and then demand that they reduce the prices to compete with imports....that is the only way out. I would start with the new Jags.....they are competitive to any EU premium product out there...and if they have the support and active participation in future product ideas from a loyal customer base..they will do better....
  14. CAshflow is the main issue in the market....profitability is something that can be worked on over a period of time...cashflow is vital to keep business trading.
  15. Read my mind, I'm off down the local BCA which is only about 5 miles away. Will hopefully get an idea what stuff is selling for? You don't have to be trade to go to the BCA do you? How go you pay for the car? Full amount on the spot or what? there is a sellers fee for the bca...i think its a small % of the purchase price..not sure....but full amount should be paid as far as i know...unless you can contact the banks that are selling the leased cars and work out an arrangement with them outside the bca...bca has specific days for each bank and main dealer chains....so depending on what you want to look at..you will have to pop around often to scout the stock. I know RBS mostly finances mercedes...Lloyds (Black horse) is another major finance house on the auctions. Main dealers also auction part ex cars off the forecourt on specific days. its a good buy if you can sneak in a good price..be careful though. Quite a few private buyers are around pushing up the prices and traders dont like private buyers hanging around. Yeah I've just found that the BMW group have a day coming up with 500 cars so should be able to find something in that lot......... How do auctions works? Do they start at a guide price? Do they have reserves etc? im sure they will have a reserve and if it doesnt achieve the reserve..it will be sold provisionally until the seller and buyer discuss further on a deal. Not quite sure on a guide price bit!

  17. May I suggest going to an auction and picking up an ex lease car from the bankers auction days??? you can get 2yr old cars at extremely good prices...much better value than any lease or PCP. complete service and Detail will be needed and its just like a new car...
  18. get 12 month leases.....slightly more expensive than 3yr leases etc...but brilliant if you prefer to change cars...and the same leasing company will get you brilliant deals on the next car to keep you on their books.
  19. with all the Zeds coming into the hands of enthusiast owners...it wont be long before rediculously low prices are history...only way out would be to hunt for desperate sellers...

    370z

It does look better in the metal...infact the pics give a wrong idea of the car completely in terms of its proportions etc.. It is lower overall, wider and the interior is a mile ahead from current 350z. The exhaust note is @*!# though!
  21. i have the nismo front coilover, rear spring n damper setup and nismo ARB in the front. the car will feel sharper, better turn in, reduced dive and pitch and reduced body roll. The ride will be harder than the stock suspension as the damping is harder to reduce body roll, pitch and dive...although not unbearable or aggressive, it is harder than stock.
  22. 370z will be same price a new 350....maybe about 1k more max. 350 prices will stabilise...because there arnt many on the road and if someone wants a 350z..they will have to buy used from next year...so unless there are a lot of desperate sellers around...prices will depend on how hard sellers stick to asking price.

    BP Ultimate 102

Ive been tempted to use it....but since the cars are tuned for 98/99 octane.....i doubt it will make a difference...unless u remap for 102. I use tesco 99...
  24. ahem..lemme clear this up for you... 0-60 ON 350Z IS NOWAY 4.9S we all know that...could be a nismo Z they were trialling in usa...but certainly not the standard car... same with 370z...5.5 is what nissan says....unless these guys are stupid enough to do a run on a slope with a jet engine thrusting away behind them...noway they can get 0.6s off manufacturer times....even the best drivers dont get close to manufacturere times !!! sorry but i wouldnt trust a mag review that cant get basic figures right....let alone a review!
