  1. my bad...mm not cm!!! negligible tyre wear during drifting is what i meant!
  2. dont worry about it smartmove....nothing will go wrong with your car...imagine yourself able to drive as fast as you want in the motorways, hillside roads twisties etc....thats exactly what you would do there as well...except this time you will be trained to do it right.. tyre wear maybe few cms if you get trained on drifting etc....otherwise nothing to worry about except half a tank of fuel for the day!
  3. I've heard these days are very good and you get a discount off certain forums if you are a member. Milford is very good as it has a whole host of places to test your car from skidpans to a mountain road. Looks very good the discount apart...its a good place to experience the car in different terrain and handling scenarios...doing 140mph at the top of the 2mile speed bowl with a dip and bump on the track is no laughing matter...its all about technique, information processing and giving the right inputs to the car controls...the instructor is brilliant and the result of the day will come to you after a week of putting all that into practice... very highly recommended......the Z will amaze you even further and the smile will be better knowing you made the Z do what it just did!!!
  4. ive been on a day long course. It makes a huge difference not just to the feel of the car and your limits on the car..but also your general driving habits.. I did it at CAT driver training at the milford testing grounds.. (the place that fifth gear shoots and does all their testing). I would strongly recommend that you spend money on the best mod...driver training...either at a track or on the roads or anyother place...you will enjoy your car more and be a lot safer!
  5. I plan to form a new political party...to deal with all the crap in society today... Common Sense party... anyone want to join?
  6. yep..my guess is ....pretty much the same as it is now....top spec around 30k sat nav extra.
  7. looks like about 300whp with 6 speed manual /7 speed infinity auto with paddles, no rear strut brace and more useable but smaller boot!
  8. Yeah but there are also some real world test ones similar to the other photos that are obviously not photoshop.... mules?? with existing 350z shell and 370z bumper etc... look at the rear qrtr glass on the evo pic, length of the car, rear shape... 370z is shorter, more rakish downwards from the roof, front a pillar and roof line is akin to GT_R styling, rear is more bulky etc....
  9. thats a fotoshop on the current 350z. 3fiddy's pics at the top of the thread are the direct spy shots (nissan knowingly not being very discreet during testing)
  10. collinite for me!!! hard work but long lasting effects..
  11. Deatils? All other "remapers" we have seen claimed for cheaper, then suddenly cant do them when asked to do so. There have been quite a few generic mapping companies that claim to do all cars which suddenly cant provide proof of doing one or being able to do one when asked. ive been reading up on this...havent contacted them yet as they dont have something ready for EU versions... will post back once i have more credible details..
  12. with popcharger and plenum spacer on 98ron fuel...i got 244@wheels with dynapack and 223lb/ft torque. the best way to measure is at the wheels...the dynapack system attached to the rear hubs and measures the performance....i had mine done at TDI @ thurrock?? you are looking at about 12-16% loss approx from crank power to wheels on the 350z. loss% was estimated from readings of more than 8 different cars at the dyno day and it was standard across the models (276,300,313).
  13. errr...there is a cheaper remap option...would anyone be intrested in it say...for about £400 ish?
  14. I have felt the DBA's in action...prepare for some seatbelt burn!

I doubt it will be edited....its the sellers choice to decide if the discussion on the thread is compromising his potential sale....if he decides its enough..then he has the right to request the thread to be locked down...just as you have the right to discuss any potential points of intrest on the item for sale whether endorsing the item or discounting its value!!!

Well I think someone got a bloody good bargain...and that person has now put up the stuff for sale based on what he thinks is a good price for the product in his current condition. how much money he makes or loses is not something we have to bother about is it? well...I wont...if i think the price is right on a product and i think its value for my money...i would buy the product... how much money the seller makes or loses does influence my decision ...but lets be honest the influence is only on the fact that he may be makin a good bargain and not on the assessment of the value of the product! anyway....dont want to keep on talking on it...its a good product if anyone wants it....intrested members can decide the price its worth and make an offer knowing very well what the history of the product is.

I dont think this particular one for sale is the one from Geoffs car! Its a good zorst and good price for a used zorst of that quality....
  18. I would go different on the general opinion...i would say the Z can handle 380-400 @ wheels.... the flywheel power cant be accurately calculated unless you are running it on a testbench at a factory.... normal dynos measure power @ wheels and convert it back to flywheel output by factoring in transmission losses.. so why go to all that hassle when you know the Z can handle 380-400 @ the wheels comfortably...which is what makes the car perform in the real world anyway!!! the question is not how much power you can push into the Z...its how the power is pushed...the character of the torque coming in while on boost is the key to your engine lasting or ...............you know.... 380-400 is the avg safe power that has been reliably pushed out so far... bobby
  19. the synchros in our boxes are typically crap....they are particularly difficult when cold....but if they are smooth when you warm it up..then i would say its a normal character of our boxes...if however you do have the same problem when warm...it should be done under warranty. Bobby
  20. GT spec had heated power leather seats....lump on driver seat, power recline on driver seat, passenger seat had manual recline.
  21. ive seen pics of the cherry bomb y-pipe...think motordyne is doing one soon...basically you decat and have a high flow cat on the y-pipe after the merging point...
  22. you will be surprised at how much lower the costs are at indies for porsche compared to OPC's....have a look around the porsche or tipec forums.....some indies even have annual warranty schemes which arnt too much over what nissan would charge... id have a porsche over the bmw anyday....and at today's prices....you can get some seriously cheap cars...if you can afford the running costs..mpg is better than the bmw as well
