  1. one of the best rear bumpers for the Z IMO...really subtle and classy...doesnt look like an in your face mod!
  2. to all you doubters..and liverpool fans.. wait till he finishes the season with 10 goals... 1. no cost of acquisition 2. considerably cheap wages and performance related pay 3. stringent medical tests passed 4. player who lost out with 2 big teams concerned about his future....he will do anything to proove his skills and repay SAF 5. pairing up with rooney....if he does well..then this is your next england partnership and a pretty good one too. 6. even as an impact sub..he will be very useful and will contribute highly to the team. 7. MO scoring at liverpool...priceless!!!!!!
  3. find a big empty car park. start goin round in circles. tighten the radius as you get more and more comfy. Thsi exercise will give you a slight idea of how fast you can corner at different steering angles. you can then try booting the throttle to find out how it reacts to sudden inputs. on the road: smoothness is the key...the more experienced you become you can really get some cornering speeds in!!!
  4. short intake with a bumper cut out should in theory give the same intake temps as long tube ones. heat soak happens when the filter sucks in hot air from the engine bay.
  5. for a +43 offset rear wheel, you will be looking at a 11-11.5j wheel width. But that will be one fat rear wheel!!!!
  6. If it is Osiris Uprev you guys are using.....then it is well supported and credible stateside. I mentioned earlier that they had a german outlet for EU business but that was never fully set up for UK customers. Nice to know that RStuning are on it now. Looking forward to your results.
  7. that's the whole point...you dont need to spend 100k to get a machine with the GTR capabilities. You will need to spend like a 100k car on the running costs to keep on top of that performance! A lot of people cant comprehend a 55k car having service bills of a 100k car...unfortunately..thats how it goes!
  8. I completely agree with you! but since we are all in unison enjoying a nissan product, and even though we get crap service from the dealerships, we have to agree that the product is good. Could it possibly be that Nissan is a mass producer of varied products and therefore able to make a GTR with low profit/unit? Ferrari, Lambo and Porsche make much more profit/unit and coupled with the fact that they dont have a varied portfolio of products to sell....they therefore command a higher price? With regard to Parts prices...I dont know yet if nissan GTR parts are comparable to Ferrari parts or not...It could be?? But then maybe it wont be and nissan are charging higher? point here is we dont yet know. Chesterfield: I do agree with you that GTR out on track will void warranty if the owner does not follow Nissan's rules of service etc...not fair compared to other makes..I agree. Again all part of running a supercar with big bills! the only manufacturer I would rate high for performance cars is Porsche...So I completely agree with you on your point of running a 911TT compared to GTR. no comebacks on that
  9. What people in general forget here is 1. Nissan have made a supercar of sorts to beat every premium sports car maker 2. Nissan have made this car available on the road for 55k ish compared to 120k for other comparable performance cars. (not long ago..we were talking about possible 70k price???) 3. All people forget that a supercar beater from japan will have supercar maintainence. 55k price tag doesnt mean £300/yr service cost...(GTR does have a 6k mile service interval) 4. performance out of the box is bloody brilliant for the money!(cant find anything to take that away from nissan, except for crazy dragstrip launches screwing the tranny, that has been rectified by nissan so that you now have 'official' LC with the VDC on!!!) 5. Nissan already has its die hard GTR fan base world wide to make this product a success(first year allocation in general have been upto forecasts!) 6. Nissan has made sure that all HPC's up their game when it comes to dealing with GTR customers and most of them are quite happy. (ask the GTR owners!) 7. I dont work for Nissan. nor am i biased towards it. Just saying that the above points are always forgotten when people assess the GTR compared to other products in the market! I personally think that the product for what it is and who it is aimed at, is brilliant. They do have some problems like the red car configuration....(made me keep my money in my pocket on that front). Nissan dealers in general are crap...but the HPC's have had to deal differently to keep their status(possibility of infinity dealership etc..so for us Z owners, there seems no escape from the crap! Standard service cost on GTR isnt too much...but the brakes need servicing regularly depending on use and it does cost big bucks.
  10. AA trying their marketing trick...make a statement about something or the other and get on national tv with some sort of safety crap! Only problem here is that majority of TV viewers have no clue about cars and speed etc...so if AA man says something on TV, then he must be right?
  11. Technosquare works on ecu collect, remap and return. They are US based. Uprev Osiris is another software which is a basic reflash of the ecu, datalogging, and uploading custom maps based on the data you send them. They are US based and have an agent in the EU but they havent yet started on EU Ecu's yet. The above 2 companies are the ones I know of that have a very good reputation in the Z33 Ecu flash work. It is a worthwhile mod and will bring the best out of the NA mods. Would you be able to tell us which company you have tied up with so that we can do our own research on cars that have been modified already to get comfortable with the reputation of the product you are offering? Thanks Bobby
  12. If you want to upgrade....go for DBA discs and ferrodo pads....very good value for money and they stop like someone is pulling ur face apart!!!
  13. the question of EBC vs standard OEM discs is debateable....but you will find slight improvement in brake fade simply due to the grooved disc vs plain disc heat dissipation qualities. i use standard brembo discs and ferrodo pads with RBF600 fluid...Unless I have more power and do lots of trackdays, I dont think i will need to upgrade the combo.
  14. back on topic plz! technosquare in the US is the best remap outift out there. But it is a ship out and return service. Your contact here might find it beneficial to enquire with them about an agency arrangement for technosquare rather than putting up new equipment etc. from a random mapping company. Bobby
  15. if you register yourself as self employed and just take a stake in your dads house informally...then the profit you make will be subject to income tax after costs.... if you register the house in your names...then it will be subject to cap gains tax...after setting off costs for development. im not too sure on this...but im sure some accountants will advise you better. however...if you re-invest your sales proceeds into another property..then you are effectively not gaining anything in hand...so i dont think it would attract tax until you liquidate your assets.
