    Now this is a garage

I'm thinking my decat'd Z wouldn't be suited to this setup - filling the house full of fumes every night lol.
  2. Very nice . There seem to be quite a few people popping up with 400hp Z's at the moment, not that I'm complaining! It's the power the Z should have had from the factory. I don't think I could go back to a standard one now.
  3. As per the title, I'm after a used set if anyone is looking to sell theirs. Eibach bolt-ons only please. Cheers Chris
  4. How did you get on with this? Any idea how much you're talking for this? I'm thinking of doing the same but might try flocking instead unless alcantara is cheaper than I'm expecting. I'd do the visors as well and possibly plasti dip all the cream plastic bits to match.
  5. Removed, filled and sprayed by the previous owner for the smooth look . They did a great job but now I need to look at fitting a subtle internal window aerial or just carry on living without the radio.
  6. Your best bet on an iPhone is to buy a Pioneer double din AppRadio, DashCommand app for the iPhone and a wi-fi OBD adapter. This will enable you to display all the gauges on a nice big double din screen. The refresh rate isn't great but it's a neat gadget setup.
  7. Let me know when you are there, I may pop down to see the TT in action Also, watch for excessive front left tyre wear at Llandow, ruined a nearly new Toyo Proxes T1R there in one day (In my Mk2 Honda CRX 16v) a few years ago. Feel free to pop along, I'll be down there on Wed 26 Sep. As you say, tyres can take a good beating on this track! I managed to melt my centre caps last time (nobody told me you're meant to remove them for trackdays lol).
  8. Coming together nicely Looking forward to seeing this beast. OK Then the push is on Mid August is now the target date Gives me a month I'll make some calls and see how likley that is and update! I'd be up for Combe on the 31st if anyone else fancies it?
  9. A few updates: HKS braided brake lines now fitted courtesy of Abbey Motorsport. A good improvement in pedal feel under heavy braking. I'm looking forward to feeling the difference on track with Llandow in September and then the Nordschleife in October . Front and rear SuperPro suspension bush kit now fitted courtesy of Horsham Developments. On the drive home I was surprised how it felt more stable even in a straight line on the tedious M4 and straight A-roads. I instantly noticed more feedback through the wheel and the car definitely soaks up the bumps more convincingly. To try and dial out some of the understeer and body roll I increased the Whiteline front ARB to the harder setting and set out for a B-road blast. What a difference . I can't believe how good the car feels now - so planted, confidence inspiring, zero understeer and a joy in the bends. In conclusion the SuperPro bushes combined with the other handling mods have helped me find the handling sweet spot.
  10. I've been wanting to improve my Z's floaty and uninspiring handling for a while so I decided to pay Jez a visit. With the car already running Daiyama coilovers, Whiteline ARBs (fitted by Jez) and Powergrid drop links, the bushes are going to be taking increasing punishment so the 7 year old rubber ones were replaced with a full SuperPro suspension bush kit front and rear . Jez did a fantastic job of turning the car around quickly so that I could collect en-route back from the airport after a long weekend away. Everything went smoothly and after a quick test drive the Z was ready for the journey home. I was surprised how it felt more stable even in a straight line on the tedious M4 and straight A-roads. I instantly noticed more feedback through the wheel and the car definitely soaks up the bumps more convincingly. A few days later I took the car out for a proper B-road blast to see how it felt in the bends. Again, a noticeable improvement in feedback and stability but I felt the body roll and turn-in could be better. I increased the Whiteline front ARB to the harder setting and set out for another blast. What a difference . I couldn't believe how good the car felt - so planted, confidence inspiring, zero understeer and a joy in the bends. My conclusion is that the excellent SuperPro bushes combined with the other mods have helped me find the handling sweet spot. So another big +1 for Horsham Developments!
  11. I popped down to Abbey last week for some mid-range dyno tuning and decided to splash out on a set of HKS braided brake lines . I left the guys to it whilst Sarah, Scott and I debated the merits of Marmite on toast, concluding that left handed people simply don't do Marmite . As usual the guys did a great job and refused to let the car go until they were 100% happy with it. The new brake lines bite much better, but I'm still waiting for the next track session to try them out properly. Welcoming as always, the guys at Abbey are a pleasure to visit (although my credit card might disagree)!
  12. Cheers. I'm not 100% sure as the previous owner fitted the front splitter and rear diffuser. He said it's a Veilside style front splitter and Top Secret style rear diffuser. Rear diffuser may be up for sale soon as I'm looking for an OEM rear bumper. 5Zigen wheels may also be up for sale as I'm looking to go back to a set of RAYS for track work.
  13. Adrian Flux as well for a twin turbo.
  14. Front sold, so just the rear left - selling for £15 + £8 delivery.
  15. I'm selling a used OEM MAF sensor off a 54 plate 350Z. It's done around 30k miles and looks in great condition. Upgraded to an UpRev GT MAF so surplus to requirement. £40 delivered.
  16. I'm selling my Split Second FTC1-034 that came as part of a turbo package from Speed Force Racing. It's been used on the car for around 12k miles. More info is available on the Split Second website. I've got a backup copy of the R4 software on CD but not the original. You'll also need a serial cable to connect it to your PC (either serial-to-serial or serial-to-USB). The retail price is $549. I'm selling it for £120 delivered.
  17. Whilst dropping off some parts to notfub I had the opportunity to experience this aural sensation. What a setup! You can hear and see the effort that's gone into it. Anyone looking for a new ICE setup I'd highly recommend giving Sonic Frontiers a call. ICE is lower down on my priority list at the moment but I'll definitely be giving them a ring when I am ready to take the plunge.
  18. Looking good . Can I ask why you are selling?
  19. I've got the same problem with error code P1282 showing. Gonna have a play this weekend to see if I can figure out what's triggering it.
  20. If the reset procedure doesn't work (it didn't for me with the same symptom) try this /forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=58170.
  21. Definitely . I'll try and dig out the phone numbers of the yards that got back to me.
  22. With a trip to the 'Ring looming in October, I booked onto a trackday at Bedford Autodrome for some testing. This was the first outing for the new Z on track with a view to ensuring it could handle some abuse on the Nordschleife. It turned out to be a very well organised day by Javelin and the MSV staff were really helpful despite one issue that I'll come back to! The weather couldn't make up it's mind with short spells of rain followed by plenty of sun, but this didn't spoil the fun in the slightest. After a slight detour on the way (read 'wrong turning') we arrived in time for the static sound test and briefing. The static limit is 101db at 4.5krpm with the Z managing 98db. Result . The first worry was the briefing that stated black flags would be waved if you failed the 87.5db drive-by test at any point during the day. With four testing stations dotted around the track you could in theory have a very short day as a black flag denotes that you've triggered a sound check and that's your day over. No warning. MSV did say though that they'd come and warn you if you approached the limit to give you a chance to ease off at the checkpoints. One problem with my current setup (configured by the original owner) is that the wastegates dump directly into two downpipes which vent to atmosphere - hence it's a screamer on boost. I knew it was loud so during the morning session I short shifted and backed off at each testing station just to be safe. Frustrating, yes, but still plenty of fun to be had around the circuit. On speaking to a few other drivers and spectators in the pits it turns out I had the loudest car on track . The closest on noise was a stunning Westfield with a full Cosworth block and sequential box running 500bhp at around 500kg - around double the bhp per tonne of a Veyron ! At lunch I whipped the wheels off to double check the new Whiteline ARBs were still on tight as we could hear and feel a faint vibration coming through the wheels. Everything looked fine and I can only put this down to the tyre pressures increasing by about 3-4psi that made the slight joins in the tarmac more noticeable. Having lowered the pressures it seemed fine again after lunch. I went for a run at 3pm that turned out to be the last of the day. Whilst trying to get some in-car video footage I forgot to back off at one of the sound checks to be greeted by a waved black flag at the next marshall post . Back in the pits I spoke to the MSV marshall who said I'd been close to triggering it all morning so I was a bit peeved that they didn't come and warn me as they said they would . To finish up the day a Porsche owner took pitty on me and offered a passenger ride, possibly the most eventful one I've ever had for all the wrong reasons. He kindly demonstrated how it gripped superbly in the corners before spinning spectacularly in the rain . Thinking he'd back off for the rest of the lap he completely missed his braking point at the end of the long straight whilst touching 120mph. Thankfully he avoided crashing into the marshall post and instead took us cross country into the 4ft grass at about 60mph. The car and both of us were fine, if a little shaken. So a great day out whilst the next mod on my list is to re-route the downpipes back into the exhaust to reduce the noise in future.
  23. I've just got back from a Javelin trackday at Bedford in my Z (ironically a ginger). Having followed this with interest I was intrigued to see what the conditions were like on this corner. More than any other corner I noticed a lot of tyre marks on the exit and the tarmac is definitely darker which led me to believe it's been resurfaced recently. I spoke to a marshall who confirmed this. As the morning session went on I began to build speed and find grip in the corners. Have a guess which corner I then had a tail out brown trouser moment on? Thankfully I eased off and some counter steer brought it under control just fine but I was amazed how little grip there was on the exit when naturally you're straightening up and powering out of the corner. It leads you into a false sense of security. After this I realised you just need to be a little later on the power coming out of the corner than most. Incidentally there were plenty of other cars struggling on this corner with a couple of 'offs as well towards the outside. To the OP - I hope things are progressing well and you manage to get her back on the road soon.
  24. Doh! Heading there Monday in my ginger. Does anyone know if they allow in-car filming with sucker mounted cameras?
  25. Zmanalex just sourced a used one of these for me although he also had a new one available. I think there are a few subtle variations so you'll need to send him your VIN to check. I also tried emailing some breakers yards but they weren't very confident that it was the exact same part. Easy to fit thankfully.
