  1. I'd recommend it, although I did have a few mods which made it even more worthwhile. Noticeably smoother and a more enjoyable ride.
  2. Ah, haven't heard much about long distance comfort. To make matters worse I'm 6'7. I'm hoping to save at least a couple of inches in headroom - is that realistic? I see they do Hyper Low and Low Max versions.
  3. Does anyone know of anywhere in the UK that stocks Bride seats that I could try?
  4. Found it! Now off to prove my point
  5. Random request, I'm trying to find an old picture of a girl squashed into the boot of an Azure 350Z . I'm trying to demonstrate how much space there is in the Z and thought this would prove the point nicely! Any recollection of it?
  6. I like It's the one part of the Z's rear that's always bugged me, the oem clusters looks sooo dated. These should compliment the 06 LED main clusters really well. Looking forward to fitted pics and placing my order!
  7. 3-4mm passenger side, 5-6mm driver's side. So not that even, but then it's been an issue since the tyres were new, and even before with the oem wheels. I'm wondering if one of the ABS rings is causing a false reading.
  8. Rear tyres are 275,35,19 and the fronts 245,35,19. Pretty sure it happened with the original 18" Rays as well. Tyres seem to have even wear with about 4-5mm tread.
  9. I've recently started doing some track work with the Z and noticed the ABS is cutting in way too soon. It also occasionally cuts in whilst coming to a gentle stop from as little as 5mph! Nissan have taken a look and confirmed that the ABS is too aggressive, but can't find any fault codes. The next step is to remove the brakes and check the ABS rings for damage. I'll also try looking for a fault code at the exact moment the problem occurs with the Nissan tech sat in the car. Anyone have any other suggestions? I've got another track day this Sat for which I'm seriously contemplating just pulling the ABS fuse. Cheers Chris
  10. Manic week so only just got online to see these pics - some nice work there guys! What a great meet and good to chat to a few of you. Pimm, I think it was you I was chatting to with the same wheels as me? And possibly the Captain when I said 'the only car that looks good in orange is a lambo!' not realising you were stood behind me Couple more pics: The K1 Attack was Basic K1 kits don't cost as much as you'd think, but the work that's been done to this one no doubt justifies the high price tag! Chris
  11. Last November I took a trip down to Abbey to get some work done on the Z: [*:3m9e3yso]Service [*:3m9e3yso]MOT [*:3m9e3yso]Whiteline bushes fitted front and back [*:3m9e3yso]Cusco ARBs fitted front and back [*:3m9e3yso]But most importantly the Uprev tune! I can only reiterate what others have already said - everyone (including the dog!) couldn't be more welcoming. Mark's setup is fantastic, a perfect playground for dyno tuning. He even offered for me to sit in on the tuning so I could see what I was getting for my money. I doubt many other garages would offer this. I picked up the car a few days later and what a difference. The most noticeable change was how smooth the car felt accelerating through the range after the tuning. This makes the car so much more enjoyable to drive. The increased throttle response is also a blessing when overtaking. The uprated bushes and ARBs have definitely helped tighten up the handling mainly by reducing the roll. I'm sure if I gave it a good run out on track I'd appreciate these upgrades even more. I left this review a good 5 months before posting a) because the weather didn't allow me to fully test it until recently and I wanted to see if my impression of the Uprev tune would change over time. I've gotta say I'm as happy with it as the day I drove away from Abbey last November. The changes are still noticeable even now. The Uprev tuning was carried out with a JWT popcharger, 5/16" plenum spacer, Japspeed K2 exhaust and Japspeed y-pipe fitted. Chris
  12. Good call, that could well be the problem. It does sound like a plastic, scrunching sound.
  13. I've been trying to track down an annoying suspension noise for the last few months. When under near full compression (particularly driving over sleeping policemen) I can hear a dry sound coming from the front. It sounds like you're crushing a packet of crisps! I've had Cusco ARBs, Powergrid drop links and Whiteline bushes installed so I'm wondering if the increased tension has caused it. Or more likely all the damn pot holes! Nissan investigated and came back with this: [*:1pu41o92]Confirmed noise coming from both front sides [*:1pu41o92]Disconnected ARB links [*:1pu41o92]Loosened top arm link on N/S/F [*:1pu41o92]Lubricated all bushes [*:1pu41o92]Suspect noise coming from strut tops and bump stops [*:1pu41o92] [*:1pu41o92] Bumper Assy-Bound x 2 --- £70 [*:1pu41o92]Insulator Assy x 2 -------- £180 [*:1pu41o92]Labour x 3 ---------------- £280 [*:1pu41o92]Total ---------------------- £530 Has anyone heard of the strut tops/bump stops going? Any suggestions on how to get the cost down appreciated! Cheers Chris
  14. Great advice as always, cheers all I think I'll look into bracing and ARBs then, see if that makes a difference, and report back!
  15. Guys, I'm after a new suspension setup and need some advice I only use the car on the road (no track days) but feel the Z's handling could be tightened up. Something a bit stiffer, but crucially I really want to avoid lowering the car, if possible? Not really fussed about adjustability. Any thoughts? Chris
  16. Yeah, this sounds good. Look forward to seeing the pricing info.
  17. Read about this the other day, could be worth checking out? http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=20312
  18. Good plan, it's something I've been looking to do for a while.
  19. Went down the same root as Spen and got the Japspeed K2 and y-pipe, great advice He's described it perfectly, very quiet at idle with a nice bassy sound when the throttle blips on startup and pulling away up to 3500rpm. Volume when cruising barely seems to have increased. The OEM look is a big plus too! Now to go bed it in properly...
  20. Off to test drive the 370 a week on Saturday. To the people that have driven it, did the dealer let you out on your own? The last new car I test drove was a Civic Type-R which they left me to drive alone, are Nissan dealers likely to be as trusting?
  21. Up for sale on eBay, they're in mint condition and perfect working order (note these aren't the '06 LED variety). http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250456991420 Cheers Chris
