This time around, we've got the simply stunning Z owned by a long time customer and personal friend, Cheston Chiu, from Southern California, as featured in the March 2008 issue of Import Tuner. Cheston was one of the first 350Z customers we had back in 2003, when the car was still new to our shores. Since that time, we've spoken countless times, and his car has gone through various iterations, to end at the place you see now. As a result of all time time online and offline we've spent together, I now consider Cheston a true friend, despite us living 5000 miles apart and having never met each other. In an internet world that is often filled with more badgering and name calling that content, it's refreshing to know that there are those in the industry like Cheston, who are passionate about their car, and with a goal in mind, have the patience and forsight to see the goal through. We've tried to make the article as large as possible, so read through it and you'll see one of the most complete Z's on the streets! From painless suspension tuning, to it's twin turbo kit, and very unique, track read aero mods, it truly is an expression of Chestons indivduality, which at the end of the day, is exactly what this hobby is all about!

just keep in mind the JWT is probably the loudest aftermarket flywheel out there. Not a hard part to fit at all...takes a few hours (trans comes out) - huge rewards, especially with the 3.9 final drive. BTW - we have 1 x 3.9 final drive and 1 x 4.08 final drive in stock And several ACT flywheels (streetlight and prolight) - which is our flywheel of choice - 1 piece, billet chromoly, so it can be resurfaced down the road if needed (the JWT and others require you to unrivet the friction ring and then reinstall a new one). Both very very popular mods here for naturally aspirated Z's
-
those are not going to come close to fitting unless you have a very very very wide wide-body kit

we have the NISMO front lip in stock - genuine, urethane, absolutely perfrect fitment. Several here have purchased it from us. It fits all 2003-2005 model cars. We've also got the NISMO skirts, also urethane, and the NISMO rear lower valence, also urethane, even NISMO V1 spoiler - urethane. Though the boxes are quiite large we've done a good job consolidating shipments and shipping to the UK for a full kit is still not even all that expensive, and arrives safely door to door. Or, for a full bumper solution, we offer the Aerosync front bumper, which is a full V1 bumper (not just lip) - if you doa quick search, you can see many pictures of this. I had it on my car for a couple of years, and have recently sent over a couple to members here as well. In the world of the Z, there are so many quality, affordable kits offered by people who care more about customer satisfaction than they do about making a quick buck, that it pays to deal with those who, IMHO, support the community. There are several vendors on here who fit that bill I think, to the point where, well, there is no point in venturing outside the sandbox so to speak

Against Nismo Lots have the Nismo, not good write ups on some of the US forums, due to cracking it looks the same as stock, For 5zigen I fancied a true dual exhaust as I love the shapes at the back, Its a bit different, Very well made. nice blue tips and the sound track is just Lots of others out there to consider so advice would be dont just jump in. Have you typed the names of the other zorsts into Youtube? or found the website that has sound clips of quite a few of the ones available? The cracking people have had tend to be related to 1 component...Kinetix cats, or ebay test pipes. The reason is because these pivot things in a very odd angle, and as a result, cracking can occur on the Y pipe. Like I said, just poll how many people on here have it...0 issues -

not for nothing, but do you ship internationally everyday? I do....I get paid to know these things but it does say NISMO on the box - all over Just because you didn't get an invoice for duties/taxes yet doesn't mean you won't get one in the future by the way -

this is not a car that rewards bolt ons...modern naturally aspirated cars simply don't work like that anymore. Even turbo cars are less than optimized when it comes to bolt on mods. Everything centers around the ecu in modern auto tuning. Without altering the ecu, any change you net will never be optimized to make the most of any hardware, you need proper software - its the same with anything computer related. Can you realize gains by just fitting a plenum spacer, high flow cats and an exhaust? Absolutely - probably about 15 whp. With ecu tuning that figure can double and nearly triple. The tuning is the most important aspsect of this car and it yields tremendous rewards. Upgrades such as the UTEC also make it quite easy for the do it yourselfer to do (so long as they understand what makes an engine run, and can read and understand a detailed instruction manual) a popcharger, or any intake on this car is an absolute waste of money as the stock design, particularly the 06 cars (different airbox design) is quite good unless you want the looks/sound...makes noise, nothing more. A dyno will never, ever, ever show a legitimate gain from an intake. If you want to know if an intake netted you any power, you install it as a standalone mod, take it to a 1/4 mile track, and compare pre-install mph with post install mph.

the problem is they are not declaring any value at all, or trying to pass it off as a gift or a warranty replacement. If we do that, and its lost or damaged, you have nothing to show for it. I would not want to take that risk. It also is a surefire way for customs to spot it and hold it for inspection/re-valuation. Is that worth it to save $50 or $100? I wouldn't want to take that risk if I were a buyer. You can find out from members here what they paid after duties...the charges are not that expensive at all relative to the size/weight and value of the item. We have sent a ton of them over There is a reason why we've sent close to 50 exhausts to the UK in recent months alone....we do things the right way, with insurance and door to door delivery -
to make the most of any mod on this car, the ecu should be tuned. The gains of a plenum spacer dont change over time, but the ecu tuning is great a plenum spacer, exhaust, high flow cats or test pipes would yield approximately 50 hp gain
-
Amuse does not sell the components of that kit separately The top secret kit would not look proper without the rest of the kit to go with it as its significantly wide than stock
-
that's a replica of the GReddy lip - for a few dollars more than their asking price you could just get the real thing, and know it fits perfectly

we are now supplying the Haltech plug and play - more features than the F Con, and, less money haltech: http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?mode ... rodid=2843 or, there is the utec too, which works well for NA mods, and for forced induction up around 500 hp. I have the UTEC in my full NA car, and its worked great, though I am now upgrading to the Haltech in the coming weeks utec: http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?mode ... rodid=1602 and of course, both are in stock

alot of firms out there will declare the item as a gift, or say its a warranty replacement. The problem with doing that is that as mentioned, if its lost or damaged in transit, you are screweed....zero recourse whatsoever. We've got very advantageous shipping rates worked out on these things, since we send so many of them over on a monthly basis. And, not a single one has been damaged in transit that I am aware of. -
they put those to pasture a while ago
