  1. Pingu, Ian, sl114, Sarnie, Digsy - I'm a bit unclear in your opinions Jay - I'm of the "to each his own" school, but friends don't let friends buy neon, unless you are making a sign for a store or a pub! The Z is a classy sort of car I think, especially with the parts you have. I personally feel that anything of the neon sort, would detract from that classiness and exclusivity of some of your other parts
  2. it's odd ya know - the pictures I had seen from the 'ring made the car look cool in a quirky way. The official press pics though, between the wheels and the stance, looks downright, I don't know, Kia-esque
  3. Chris - what tire is it? RE040?
  4. I have not had a chance to fit it with the NISMO spats yet, but it looks like it would be workable
  5. well, I did go to law school I just decided cars was where my passion lay
  6. real offers being considered We are selling these on behalf of one of our local New York clients. The wheels were purchased during the summer, yet have never been fitted onto a car. The customer now has decided to go to a different set of wheels (ironically a different set of black/polished lip!), so he has authorized us to sell them on his behalf. He is highly motivated, so any serious offers certainly would be considered
  7. I've known Val for quite a while and we always got along just fine - sad to see him go for sure. That being said, anything I can do to assist, I gladly will oblige. The group here has been absolutely fantastic to deal with. Not only have you supported our company, but as a general feeling, the entire group here is an absolute pleasure to deal with. A much friendlier group overall, with alot more maturity than what we're used to on the US based sites. So for that alone, I owe you guys a debt of gratitude Perhaps I've been jaded by the US sites, which always start with the best of intentions and attitudes when the subject car is new, then deteriorate into pools of muck as time goes on. Perhaps that's what Val was feeling a bit of, since this site has certainly grown in just the months we've been active. But I must say, for all the gentle ribbing that goes on here, and the tongue in cheek comments, you can just tell (or at least I can) that there was no malice intended - I look at it all as in good fun. In any event, if there is anything I can do guys, please let me know. I consider the group here my friends (on more than just a "commercial" front, and as such, any help I can give, I gladly will!
  8. you still see the exhaust from behind I agre, still needs something on the sides to finish it off - the NISMO rear "spats" would really compliment it nicely! Attaches using both screws and double sided tape - comes wtih everything needed (a really simple install!)
  9. if your car is an 07, it will not work - they have them for 03-06 cars though
  10. it makes no difference what wax you use....there is no such thing as "wheel wax" - it's just rebranding the same product into a different bottle

  12. there is no way that powdercoating or painting something will cause wheel bolts to come loose unless the person doing the job was so obtuse as to paint or powdercoat the threads for hardware as well - that is prep 101. If the person being asked to do that type of job does not even know well enough to not paint through the threads or not to retap the threads afterwards, then frankly, they should not even be trusted to make a bowl of cereal in the morning, let alone paint or powdercoat anything rickya - not true TSW, as most lower priced wheels with a polished effect to the lip, use a clear. Use an abrasive that has acid and it will eat through the clear in no time. See next paragraph Your best bet guys is simple - when the wheel is new....brand new, give it a good coat of wax inside and out. Lip, spokes, backside. This will make most debris that accumulates come off easily with merely water, and just use the same soap you use on the car (use a separate bucket and mitt) to wash the wheels. Rewax them once every month or 2, and you'll be rewarded with wheels that look new even 10 years on Anything lacquer based is, by nature, a paint and not a powdercoat I am sure they can send you pictures of what each finish looks like before you commit
  13. As I told you, the lips on Volks are anodized, the spokes are painted The ONLY thing you should use to clean any wheel, especially a Volk or any wheel with a polished lip, is soap and water and then followed up by general wax once a month or so. No chrome polish (they aren't chrome lips), not wheel cleaners, nothing but good old soap and water. I'd recommend calling some of the places mentioned in this post and inform them exactly the scenario and use their recommendations for best course of action
  14. can anyone advise where I would fly into so I can look up arrangements? thanks!
  15. such a bunch of babies over there, and a bit of a pile on McClaren too at this point I think (and I'm a Ferrari guy!) Seems like Lewis was now cleared - and I think Blundell's take on it was spot on http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/main.j ... lun105.xml
  16. if you need help sourcing a new one, let me know...expensive I know, but I guarantee you'll get it, and be covered should something happen in transit!

  20. Beavis, et. al. - yes, the US spec front lip is just a front lip add on to the factory bumper - fits all US and UK/Euro spec cars. Uses double sided tape and a couple self tapping screws to attach as any other front lip does, and all hardware is included. The factory V1 full front bumper (shown below) is only made of fiberglass, though we do also a urethane replica (which is what I used to have in the pics below) - it's a bit lower than the front lip add on. We've got very similar roads in our area vs much of the UK so I'm told - with a little care, either setup would work fine http://www.everything350z.com/exhaust.html is a good resource to get a general idea of sound - this was originally done on a Japanese site and the US guys "borrowed" it lol
  21. And one more picture of Paul's car showing the rear spoiler and front lip hope you guys don't mind me posting these pictures!!! And since Paul's car shows them off so nicely...we also have the NISMO wheels in both 18 inch (silver and bronze) and 19 inch (silver) in stock!
  22. Here are a couple other pics NISMO exhaust as fitted to member Paul's Z (also got it from us, along with the NISMO spoiler, not too long ago). Paul also got the front lip and rear spoiler from us as well Rear NISMO spoiler on member Trev-the-Rev's car - also purchased from us
  23. Thanks Sarnie for the pics The exhaust is quite easy to fit yourself if you are handy. It consists of the Y pipe, midpipe and backbox, and comes with all the hardware and gaskets. Price is $1365 shipped to most addresses in the UK. Not sure what a local garage would charge, but its about an hours labor (but very easy). We are very familiar with international shipping, as we do it every day, and have especially good rates and relationships with BAX Global (who we use exclusively for the large boxes such as this). Ask anyone who has ordered from us, we understand and appreciate the issue regarding the taxes, and work with you to help minimize this as much as possible! Even with the duties, I think you'll find, and our customers here will vouch, that the savings are tremendous vs traditional UK pricing! Plus, delivery is quick! Here is another exhaust picture, from one of the 350Z-UK members who got it from us As for the aero pieces, it should be mentioned that ALL of them are made of durable urethane. Unlike fiberglass, which is often quite rigid and needs more prep work to smooth out the inherent waves, urethane requires much less prep time, and tends to be more durable as it has movement and 'give' to it. The front lip, sideskirts, rear "spats" and even the rear spoiler are all urethane! The rear spoiler also includes a template for a pain free install, and, if your car has the factory rear spoiler, the NISMO one even covers the holes so no additional work is needed!
  24. We've got a bunch of the NISMO Aero bits and exhausts ready to ship! Front lip (suits the 2003-2005 cars only), sideskirts (fits 2003-2007 cars) and rear lower "spats" (fits 2003-2007 cars), as well as the famed NISMO rear V1 spoiler (fits 2003-2007 cars) We've also got the exhausts in stock (fits 2003-2006 models) All are genuine NISMO articles, in their genuine packaging, shipped quickly to your door (we can even send directly to your installer if it's more convenient!) Just PM us with your address for a fast, easy shipping quote. We ship worldwide, daily, and to most addresses in the UK, delivery ranges from 4-8 days on average. Thanks! Adam Z1 Performance
