how many track days? what tires are being used? how technical of a track? what brakes (std or brembo)?

unless the UK fan is different, the KOYO is a direct fit, both the 36mm and 54mm (which I use in my car) fans, unless you're going to go with a very good set of electrics and make/source you'r own shroud, OE works fine. It remains what I use to date on my car (original units) Mishimoto is so so fitment, no idea who or what AMS is, likely another Taiwanese sourced unit

The spiral cable (also known as a clock spring) is not a cable, It is just an electric curcuit board with a sensor. These dont break, once you dont mess about with the steering wheel or steering rack. If your horn works then your spiral cable is fine. However, if the airbag has been deployed then the spiral cable sensor would be broken, even though I cant see how it would break, its just a circuit board. Or if you turn the steering wheel more than it should if the steering rack is out. I have been there. I bought a used one from a breaker for £20 and it worked. Once the airbag has not been deployed or any damage to steering components that would affect the steering wheel moving more than it should, it wil be fine. My horn worked just fine....and the airbag light would intermittently go on, would be able to reset, and then eventually came on more frequently, and ultimately all the time. My car has no side airbags at all ruling that out, and it's never been so much as tapped in a parking lot, let alone hit, so I knew that wasn't an issue. Multimeter revealed a short in the clockspring, replaced it, problem was solved instantly

Could also be a damaged spiral reel section in the steering wheel - quite common as the cars age, had to replace the one in my car. We keep them in stock if needed, as I recall they are around $200 or so + shipping

Those are not NISMO, they are ASM, and have nothing at all to do with the V3 bumper fitment - they were just a styling add on, even on the JDM Spec NISMO and 380RS. These are fiberglass (FRP), the genuine ones are/were metal, and wouldn't surprise me if they were priced the same if not more. As far as pricing, yes they are expensive. Why? Everything from ASM is relatively expensive - 1. because they are all made in Japan, not outsourced to cheaper markets. 2. Quality is literally at OEM levels - not something common in the aftermarket. 3. ASM only makes limited runs of products, so batches are small, and as such, pricing is high. They are a boutique-type manufacturer. The 380RSC is a full on race car, around $400k was selling price, not a road going car can't get the genuine ones from NISMO to the best of my knowledge unless you have proof you own a JDM Spec NISMO/380RS. That's why ASM has theirs released (they are a high end parts manufacturer in Japan, most famous for their limited line of Recaro seats and many exotic parts for the S2000) But for the better news, we have some new ones being released very very shortly - stay tuned to our blog in the next couple of days for full specs and details

do yourself a favor, follow the factory service manual for this and don't deviate from their specified range. If you make it too low, it will never fully release, and instead, drag, prematurely wearing the disk, pressure plate friction surface and flywheel friction surface in the process

thanks guys NISMO is beautiful! thankfully, the dog doesn't need to go in the Z, I've got a daily driver that is big enough (Maxima). I live in a townhouse, so unfortunately having a dog 'live' outside isn't an option, but we've got large grounds here, and there are several dog parks right nearby instinct tells me to adopt rather than buying a purebreed...will have to go looking and see what I fall for

about as off topic as you can get, but figured I'd pose it anyone, since I know a number of you have dogs with recent events in my family, I have thought about getting a dog - I figure it's probably cheaper than getting married, and at least I don't have to let her use my Z! No children in my home Thing is, I've never had a dog before - just a cat (now deceased). I'm not into small pocket book dogs, would like something, well, masculine I've always had an affinity for Huskies, but knowing really nothing about what all is involved, I'm a bit nervous. If it was worthwhile to sell, every dealer on the planet would be carrying them and raking in the $$. Ebay is the only place these things can be sold

you cant get it because ARC is no longer in business the stock brace is actually a better design than all of them as it's the only one that has foam inside for rigidity the gt spec carbon one above is also no longer made for several years now A truly impressive one is by Carbing, but with your car being RHD, dont know if they offer it (has integrated master cylinder brace, solid 1 piece, no flex joints at all, all aluminum - amazing piece)

More likely they've got the money to pay for the manufacturer's warranty which covers them if things go wrong £2K up front to save a potential £20K bill? No contest. EDIT: Let me put it another way. Find out what the most expensive part of the car is (usually engine or gearbox). Now find out how much one of those costs second-hand and how much it would cost to get it replaced if things go wrong. If it's a cost you can bear then there is no monetary reason to stop you buying it. That's a calculation I've used for every car purchase I've ever made and it's not sold me wrong yet. Most likely they never bought it in the first place, and leased it. Lease is up, it goes back, Mercedes (or someone else), sells it again...mileage starts creeping up, 2nd owner gets cold feet before things get expensive, and sells it on. And thats the story of your 20,000/150,000 car On Top Gear this weekend, they were commenting about the 'cheap fancy cars' they each bought a few episodes back. What was the cost of a single ignition coil on Jeremy's Merc? Something like 800 sterling? Just for the part. With fitting....1200. That's just to replace 1. I have the ability to work on my own car, etc. The only way I'd buy something akin to this type of car used is if it 1. had a good portion of the factory warranty available or 2. an aftermarket warranty that at least doubled the mileage it currently had, was available at a reasonable cost. If not, I'd sooner keep my Z, which I'm presuming you own outright, and run it till it either fails altogether (if you dont take care of it), or till you've got the money to acquire what you truly want new. For the same money, couldn't you buy a lower mileage, lesser model? Friend locally here in the states picked up the previous gen E55 (Supercharged), 34k miles, warrantied till I think 100k, for right around $25k (US). Food for thought

wait till the first time you get to change the oil, or forbid, have to do a tune up or if something electrical stops working if you're an expert at these cars and can service it yourself, you're golden. If not, one unplanned expense could represent 1/4 of what you paid for the car, if not more
