Bearings are generally only noisy when turning and if you jack it up you can feel play in the wheel they drone when you turn, if noisy when you turn left its the right bearing and vice versa

It's to be proposed by ministers Tougher penalties for speeding and other "excessive behaviour" by motorists are to be proposed by ministers as part of a bid to cut road deaths. Drivers who break the speed limit by a large margin could be given six penalty points, a consultation is expected to suggest, meaning they would be banned after two offences. Other measures will target drink drivers and those who put lives at risk by taking to the wheel under the influence of other drugs. Provisional Government figures showed this month that the number of people killed on the roads in spring this year fell by 20% compared with the same period in 2007. There were 580 fatalities in April-June 2008 compared with 721 in the same three months last year, the statistics showed. But Road Safety Minister Jim Fitzpatrick believes more can be done to cut the numbers further and will outline the proposals in a written statement to the Commons. There will be the subject of a three-month consultation.

it could be an honest mistake and the top has accidentally been left off causing the problem, i wouldnt walk away just because of that to be honest, that seems a dramatic reaction feel the hose at the bottom of the radiator and at the top, they should be a similar temp, if not this would indicate an air lock, also near the bulk head feel the pipes that go into the heater matrix (this is popular for an air lock and have been known to need to be back flushed, can make a noise) most important is to take the oil cap off and check for mayo (this would indicate a costly head gasket).........then walk away check the colour of the coolant, if its clear, it has been topped up regularly indicating a problem did you notice if the heater was hot or cold ?

this was in slaters for £22995 12 months ago and was then sold, literally a mile from where i live not 100% sold on the tints

But would have been a major problem if you owned it at that time whilst it was still under warranty and you had a problem with it. I know what the dealer would have said. But like you say not a major problem now, though the oil as been in longer than ideal. the oil intervals at 9k are very over cautious anyway dave but yes agree about the warranty

it wouldn't bother me, its not a ferrari, its a nissan, the services have been done and within a few thousand miles of the service interval.......... no biggee imo

yeah claybar it mate that way it will feel like glass either )depending how bad it is) polish or tcut (scratchx) to clean up the paint chip and then use a touch up pen from nissan, they're not expensive and you get paint and clear coat ps. do it now before winter and the salt arrive

remove the brake lights and you can reach down through the gap Thanks GIXXERUK, so removing both rear brake lights i should be able to get access to the indicator's, is it a pretty tight fit do you know or ?
