Mine works fine with the 3gs, i had to turn the ignition on and then search with your iphone for bluetooth connections, once it sees it, its happy days

Data... you need to make sure your contract on the sim you use has the right data contract... iphones are online most of the time and if you have email via microsoft exchange coming through all the time it can be costly! we just had an engineer that landed a £900 bill on his company vodafone contract!! You just need to turn off data roaming and you can set your email to be picked up manually or every hour, 30 mins, 15 mins etc if data roaming is left on when abroad it can cost an arm and a leg even when on o2

I've got a 3gs and it works with the BT bluetooth perfectly, it initially didnt want to but i got it to search for connections as i turned the car on and once paired it has been fine
