Sounds like a great plan but doesn't work here. Nobody is going to buy a 30 to 60k euro car privately here. 30k being a 04 and 60 a 07. To be fair depreciation on supercars is high. It's more that they tend to level off as numbers are so low. If Liam had bought the L new he would of taken a huge hit on it whereas on a 04 in a year or two wont be anywhere near as bad.
  2. This isn't a Nismo car is it? No matter what way I look at it, and it is lovely with loads of kit, all I can see is a 5 year old car with nearly 37k km and a lot of mods. Contradictory I know. I like it but I'd want a newer model especially as there's been two engine revisions since.

I hate modified skylines. They are an amazing and technically brilliant machine yet people still try to make them better. I've never seen a modified skyline that looked better or ran better then an original. Sure you can make them faster and have ridiculous amounts of power but you sacrifice the drivability of it.
  4. Certainly is bold but not designed by Porsche. Was French students. The videos are interesting from a technical perspective. Never seen an aero system like it.
  5. Watch the video and you'll understand.
  6. I reset my speedo in my old Celica. When I plugged in an Apexi unit to remove the JDM speed limiter it gave a digital speed reading from the ECU that was lower then the dials. So I pulled the needle off the dial. Took the Apexi reading as accurate and shoved the needle back on when I was at a constant 100kph. This meant that while I was doing actual motorway speed, 120kph or slightly above, I shot past everyone else. I even cruised passed a marked cop car.
  7. lol. I did the same but had my old z for a year. Test drive an 07 in August and bought it an hour later.

What has road tax got to do with the price of a car?

Road and climate? Now that sounds like crap. Have a listen to the US launch. The boss says it's a super car that car be used everyday in all climates.

Well, we've all seen the 7:38 lap of the ring, we obviously don't give a @*!# about the badge and imo the interior is way above that of most manufacturers.

    Kit cars

You and me both. Thats my dream car that is. I believe Gardner Douglas are the best kits. Meanwhile take a look here and drool : http://www.sovereigncarsales.co.uk/Cobras.aspx 7.0l and £60k!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.sovereigncarsales.co.uk/Cobra_gridpos3.aspx That car is so beautifully made I wouldn’t call it a kit car.
  13. Last time I sold a car I got these calls everyday from UK numbers. “We have a number of buyers lined up bla bla blaâ€
  14. Heated seats rock. I turn it on to full then down to low when it gets hot. Never seem to turn off for me. Computer button is fine for me. Perhaps you're sitting slightly too far back. Will be different for everyone. As for stock tyres they're not great but I've never had a problems with them on either Z. She's only ever stepped out when I make her. The one thing I really really find annoying particularly at this time of year is the "icy" warning. When it comes on it stays on showing the temp. Only reverts back to speed when you hit the button.
  15. Just finished reading that thread. Couldn’t stop. Excellent stuff.
  16. Well mine is one the ground in the workshop behind me so it better go back on.
  17. You could try putting thread lock on the screw before tightening it.
  18. Obviously doesn't affect me here in Ireland but out of curiosity, how much info is given about the car/owner? For example is there enough info to clone a car (which isn’t difficult anyway) or identity theft.
  19. Mine is exactly the same except it will fix with a little tightening. It's off at the moment while the paint protection film goes on. Cant see what it screws into.
  20. The pitch didn't seem to affect the Croatians game.
  21. There was one that said which Porsche is this and the picture was a TVR Sagaris. On a 100% you enter name and email. You receive a mail to enter a bonus round. 3 more questions about the company and their cars and a hot chick strips.
  22. If you bring a car into this country you have to pay VRT. The only exception is if you lived abroad for a about a year and owned and registered the car for 6 months, I think, in that country and then decided to more to Ireland.
  23. What does the continental not have? I said double glazing. WRONG
  24. just a thought, if I was to sell my car, would I be better off selling it in Ireland then, at much cheaper price say 30k, cant tax second hand car Sorry mate. The buyer would still have to pay VRT to the tax man. On a Z it's between 33 and 35% of the open market selling price. Which means If you tried to sell a 07 here to me I'd have to pay the tax based on the price of an Irish car. Having said that if you were having trouble selling your car it might be worth it contacting some Irish importers to see what they'll offer. Hmm so if I went over to Ireland drove my car there for holiday, an 05 plate, met someone who was willing to pay cash if I sell for 22k, come back without the car, would they still get hit for tax? This is very interesting Yep. Would be about €15000 in tax I think.
