Not to stick a pin in your balloon and slightly off topic but weren’t the last two teams in F1 to use Cosworth Williams and Toro Rosso? Both of which changed for 2007 to Toyota and Ferrari respectively. I'm sure the manifold wasn't an issue with the F1 V8/V10 engines.

ok, For anyone that ever ends up in the same boat this is the part that is missing from my car and most likely Pauls Cyprus GT4. A big thanks to Dan at The Glen for putting me in touch with Nick at Fred Coupe in Preston who went above and beyond to locate the part number and a photo of the offending item. And two fingers up at Nissan Ireland and the dealer network for being incapable of using their own computer system.

Well I've finally narrowed it down to a part number. KE283-CDU01 Although I’m in the same boat as Paul, i.e have the wires in place and have the mic and antenna pre installed, it seems I need to get a wiring kit which should contain everything I need including the cradle. Got a price of £150 ex vat. Contacted one of the Nissan dealers I use here in Dublin and got quoted a price of €300 ex vat. They looked up the part number and it came back as car kit z33. To order it they need a deposit and full payment when it arrives. They can’t tell me what’s in the kit so I’ve no way for sure of knowing if it’ll have everything in it. They can tell me, however, that I’ll have to pay for it regardless and fitting will of course be extra. Nice. What’s annoyed me the most is that I’ve been searching for over a month as my dealer couldn’t get a part number. I bet if I’d had 5 mins in front of his computer I could of found it. Guy

Has anyone tried to fit a bike in the boot? Thinking about it I'm sure it could be done without much complication using quick release wheels not that I have a bike or anything. Guy

You didn't feel the difference? I had an 04 which had what, 284 bhp stock? The 07 has 313PS and rev’s much higher and sounds much better even though I’m planning a Nismo exhaust. Not to mention the different clutch. The day I picked her up I found myself doing 220 kph before I realised I was way over the speed limit. It just wanted to keep going. My 04 never felt like that. At 200 kph in the 04 you knew it. Guy

Looks like a great day out. Wish I could join in. I know I'm only just over the water but timing never is right. It was even a bank holiday here but had to be round for the time change over to make sure the clock-in system worked. Currently planning a trip to make @*!# of Sarnie's time on the TG track. Never seen the kit on Ebay. Only the cradle adaptor for whatever phone. I needed the full cradle and the control box that's hidden underneath. Got in touch with Fred Coupe today. They are going to try their best to source one but without a part number its going to be difficult. Thanks guys.

That's not what the rule says. It states that certain parts may not be developed or modified. In 5 years changes can be made with the approval of all the teams. So for example the angle of the block or the block itself may not me modified. Find power from other sources is a big deal. Maybe high capacity batteries will be employed at some point drawing power from braking and discharged under acceleration exiting a corner. Freezing the enginen forces the teams to look elsewhere for power.

Engine freeze was decided last year. The target is to make the greener using exhausts and recovering power from braking so there will be some flexing to the rule at some point. The night race is a great idea. Been planning on going to the Singapore race as soon as I heard it'd be night race earlier this year. My mother actually wants to go as well. Time to book tickets. Yes it is. Lets take the game Grand Theft Auto (GTA) as an example. The new version is due in March of next year. It would be out sooner but it is being developed for both the PS3 and the xbox at the same time. The delay in releasing it is done to the xbox being available with a hard disc and without one. Ideally you want a large hard disc. More of the game will be loaded from the cd/dvd/blueray to the hard disc and decompressed. This speeds up the performance of the game. The system will use the hard disc like RAM in a PC. The hard disc can also be used to download games, updates for games, movies, trailers and other stuff from the web. Having said all that I haven't bought a PS3 yet as I'm waiting for either GTA or GT5 to be released next year. Guy
